FKIP – International Office (IO) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta in collaboration with the Postgraduate Study Program (S2) English Education held a Research and Publication Workshop Series on the Dual Degree Program on Tuesday (5/10/2021) to Thursday (7/10/2021) online via the Zoom Meeting application.
This workshop activity itself is one of the synergistic programs of the International Office (IO) of FKIP UNS to support the acceleration of UNS towards World Class University (WCU). Chaired by Dr. Nur Arifah Drajati, M.Pd., the team consisted of 11 members. They are Sarai Enita, Indah Rohmatin Lail, Eric Dheva Tachta Armada, Khaira Rizqa, Erika Novia Wardani, Sri Supadmi, Bimo Teguh Prasetyanto, Reffi Sabillawati, Nada Nur Azizah, Ika Yasyinta Nindy Yolandana, and Esthi Kusuma Hawati.
On the first day, this activity presented two presenters, namely Prof. Dr. Pauline Pannen, M.Ls. from the ICE Institute, Indonesia, and Dr. Lynde Tan from Western Sydney University, Australia. The material presented by the presenters on the first day is learning and its influence on online learning and new media that can be used in online learning.
On the second day, this activity presented two presenters, namely Dr. Peter Esperanza of Chapman University, California, and Dr. Farida Nurhasanah, M.Pd. from Sebelas Maret University, Indonesia. This activity explains the material for creating media and online learning content effectively.
Meanwhile, on the third day, this activity also presented two presenters. The presenters are Prof. Hyo Jeong So from Ewha Woman’s University, South Korea, and Dr. Nur Arifah Drajati from Sebelas Maret University, Indonesia. Meanwhile, the material presented by the speakers on the third day was tips on designing assessment instruments for online learning and planning classroom action research.
After the presentation of the material, both on the first, second, and third day, participants were allowed to actively discuss in Breakout Room Zoom
and were given a survey link regarding the explanation of the material from the main presenter.
Dr. Arifah and the team hope that this activity can provide insight to the head of the study program (head of the study program) regarding research and publication of narrative inquiry as an alternative to the promotion of the Dual Degree Program and increase their knowledge and understanding of research and publication programs to improve the quality of study programs and support acceleration WCU.
