FKIP – Real Work Lecture Students (KKN) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta Group of 136 have carried out KKN activities in Sabrang Lor Village, Mojosongo, Jebres, Surakarta from August 3 to 31, 2021.
As is well known, the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has made people always vigilant in various activities. On the other hand, the government has so far carried out various strategies and efforts to suppress the spread of the coronavirus, one of which is providing understanding to the public about the coronavirus.
To support the government’s strategy and efforts to suppress the spread of the coronavirus, UNS Group 136 KKN students raised the main program of the 5M health protocol campaign (prokes) through paintings or drawings (murals) on residents’ walls that had not been utilized. The movement process includes 5Mwearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, and limiting mobility and interaction. This program aims to always remind the public to comply with health protocols when doing activities outside the home.
Residents welcomed this program, one of whom was Mrs. Supiah. “The mural is good, the message in the mural has also been conveyed to the residents of Sabrang Lor. Maybe in the future, it can be given in many locations, not just in one location,” he said.
The 136 UNS KKN students consisting of Prayudha Aji, Akhmad Shofi, Alana Arrum, Alfi Maharani, Alfian Bayu, Eggi Rangga, Farish Dandy, Fatkhia Rizka, Fazri Pristichandini, and Naufal Ramaghani also raised the Warung Hidup work program which was an education in the form of seed procurement. vegetables and planting media to promote self-sufficiency in the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, supporting work programs have also been carried out such as Education on Disposal of Disposable Masks, Installation of a Sign System, Socialization of Recycling Independence Lanterns, Psychoeducation: Coping Stress During the Pandemic Period, Planting 5M to TPA Children in Sabrang Lor Village through Storytelling Activities, Covid Risk Mapping -19, and Student Learning Assistance during the Pandemic.
“I hope that the work program that has been implemented can be developed and utilized properly by the people of Sabrang Lor Village,” said Prayudha as the Coordinator KKN.
