FKIP – Student Association of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (Himprobsi ) The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a webinar for the IX Literature Week 2021. The webinar which was held on Sunday (10/10/2021) through the Zoom Meeting application and YouTube Streaming account for the Central Java Language Center brought the theme “Language and Literature in the Frame of Creative Industries: Innovation of Creativity, Taste, and Intention”.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Sc. as the Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKIP UNS conveyed job opportunities for students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI) FKIP UNS.

“With language, our hearts and minds can be filled with a system of knowledge and culture so that we can work and be creative to create works, creativity, and taste. This provides opportunities for Language and Literature Education students to get jobs outside of being educators, for example being an editor or editor, writer, theater performer, and entrepreneurship in the field of language,” explained Prof. Slamet.

Moderated by Kenes Ratu Prawestri as a PBSI FKIP UNS student, this webinar presented three speakers. Each speaker presented the material for thirty minutes and continued with a question and answer session.

The first speaker was Chafit Ulya, S.Pd. M.Pd. He is a PBSI FKIP UNS Lecturer and the Founder of CV Al Chalief. He explained the material entitled “Entrepreneurial Literacy: Opportunities and Challenges for PBSI Students in the Creative Industry Era”. Chafit explained that the era of competition that demands to have an advantage can be won by someone willing to take advantage of opportunities and keep fighting.

“Studying at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program opens up opportunities to become entrepreneurs. Entering an era of competition that requires us to have excellence, the winner is the one who takes advantage of the opportunity and continues to fight. The thing that must be done is to know our potential, have values and skills, and must have a map of self-potential,” explained Chafit.

The second speaker is Drajat Agus Murdowo, MA. He is a Young Expert Researcher at the Central Java Language Center. He explained the material entitled “Young Generation, Literature, and Creative Industries”. Drajat explained that language and literature students must have potential mapping and entrepreneurial mapping and display their advantages to be able to maximize existing opportunities.

The hope is that after graduation, they don’t just focus on one desire but create opportunities through language and language-based creative industries. literature” explained Drajat.

The last speaker in this webinar was Wulan Fadila as the author of the novel “Raja, Ratu, and Secret” which was turned into a film by MD Pictures, and “A: Aku, Hate, and Love” by Starvision Plus. He explains the benefits, tips, and first steps in writing work. Wulan invites the webinar participants to start writing work, because it will be a stepping stone to continue working.

“Write one work first and finish it. Now, that will be a stepping stone to write the next work. When we have finished one work, our confidence will increase to make the next work because we feel that we have succeeded in not letting our work be neglected, “Wulan asked.
