FKIP – Another proud achievement was made by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta. The reason is, that FKIP UNS managed to get 2nd place in the Faculty/School/Institution Web Portal Competition which was held in the framework of the 46th UNS Anniversary by the UNS Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM).
Announced on Friday (20/5/2022), 4 criteria are used as a reference for judging in this competition. The first criterion is the content of the web portal content. On these criteria, there are 4 points of assessment, namely the update of information, the number of articles written, the presence of contact information, the support for the accreditation process, and the use of two languages.
The second criterion is interactive. That is, there is 2-way communication with visitors, which is evidenced by the comment column or input form. The third criterion is integration with social media, such as sharing buttons to social media and information about social media accounts. Meanwhile, the final criteria in this assessment are the web portal design where the color, type, font size, and background are considered relevant and easy for visitors.
Met by a team of journalists from fkip.uns.ac.id, Tuesday (7/6/2022), Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS expressed his gratitude for these results.
“We are grateful for the 2nd place in the Faculty/School/Institutional Web Portal Competition within UNS. FKIP UNS has a data and information unit which is expected to help faculties, study programs, and work units at FKIP UNS in managing web portals to deliver information to the public,” said Dr. Mardiyana.
Then, Dr. Mardiyana also explained the importance of managing web portals. According to him, this update on information and conditions of FKIP UNS is very much needed by the community, the accreditation process is ongoing, and prospective new students and students participating in the FKIP UNS student exchange.
“The management of the web portal, especially in terms of updating information and conditions at FKIP, is very important to do. People who need information will usually search through the web. Likewise with the accreditation process, usually the assessor will also look for information through the web other than through the Self Assessment Report (SAR). Finally, prospective new students and student exchange participants also look for information through the web. Therefore, we strive so that information in FKIP UNS can be integrated through our web portal,” explained Dr. Mardiyana.
Lastly, Dr. Mardiyana appealed to the entire web portal management team at FKIP UNS to evaluate what web portal management criteria have not been met.
“We appeal to the entire web portal management team at FKIP UNS to carry out regular updates and complete any criteria that have not been met. We also hope that the completeness of the information contained in the web portal at FKIP UNS will add to a positive image and public trust in FKIP UNS for mutual progress,” said Dr. Mardiyana.
