FKIP — Study Program (Prodi) Natural Science Education (IPA) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a Guest Lecture with the theme “Artificial Intelligence for Learning: Automatic Assessment in Science” online via Zoom Meeting on Friday (14 and 21/10/2022).
On this occasion, Dr. paed. Nurma Yunita Indriyanti, M.Sc., M.Sc., as the Head of the Science Education Study Program (Kaprodi) FKIP UNS gave a speech.
“I really hope that all participants who are members of this Zoom Meeting can learn a lot from Prof. Minsu Ha and this is a collaboration between UNS Science Education and Science Education at Kangwon National University,” she explained.
The activity was opened by Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., as Dean of FKIP UNS. In his remarks, Dr. Mardiyana said that he was honored by FKIP’s visit by Prof. Minsu.
“We are honored by the visit of Prof. Minsu, to improve graduate competence in the global era, FKIP UNS, which is managed by the Science Education Study Program, in collaboration with the research group, Kangwon National University, is holding visiting professors so that students can learn many interesting things,” he explained.
Moderated by Bayu Antrakusuma, S.Pd., M.Pd., the guest speaker at the Guest Lecture this time was Prof. Minsu Ha, Ph.D., as a lecturer at Kangwon National University delivered material on the first day entitled “Assessment and Rubric Design AI and Machine Learning”.
“Assessments should provide information about an individual’s position in learning and their development, and inform teachers about progressive learning plans,” he explained.
Things that need to be assessed include memory, attitude, knowledge, and competence.
Presentation of the second session, Prof. Minsu presented material entitled “SAAI System for Quick Analysis of Students’ Response”. SAAI to analyze responses quickly, namely through student responses that go through the word extraction stage, so that students get feedback.
