FKIP – In connection with the celebration of Eid al-Adha in 1442 Hijri, the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta collaborated with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Surakarta and the Al Amil Zakat Institute (LAZ) Abidin carried out the slaughter of sacrificial animals in the village under the guidance of BEM FKIP UNS located in Rusunawa Putri Cempo Mojosongo. The event was held on Thursday (22/7/2021)
This activity is an innovation that is not actually included in the annual work program of BEM FKIP UNS. The initiation was carried out by the Ministry of Village Development Partners of BEM FKIP UNS as a form of cooperation between BEM FKIP UNS and community organizations or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) as distributors of donors for people who want to sacrifice.
“This activity is actually still related to the work program of the Commit, namely our Community with Desmit. A work program is a form of collaboration with the community or social community that is engaged for the welfare of the community. Well, coincidentally, we carried out this Sacrifice Spread in our target village, namely Rusunawa Putri Cempo Mojosongo, “said Bayu Rizki Prasadityo as Minister of BEM FKIP UNS Partner Village Development.
Bayu also explained that by carrying out the Spreading of Sacrifice, in addition to carrying out the sunnah of slaughtering sacrificial animals on Eid al-Adha, it was also a gathering place to increase a sense of kinship both between residents of the Rusunawa and between residents and BEM FKIP UNS.
Residents of the Rusunawa and the head of the association said they were very happy and grateful for the sustenance of the sacrifice in the form of slaughtering one cow and three goats which had been facilitated by BEM FKIP UNS. This is evidenced by the high level of enthusiasm of the residents and children of the flats in the activity, they work hand in hand to carry out this activity starting from slaughtering to distributing sacrificial meat while still implementing health protocols.

“For residents who participate in the implementation of the sacrifice, we are required to wear masks. Then, only a few residents participated in the slaughter, maybe only 10-20 percent of the total. There were only 7 BEM members who were there, so it didn’t cause a crowd. Likewise, a place for washing hands has also been provided, “explained Bayu.
Overall, the sacrifice event stocking activity went smoothly, it was just that there was a delay in the process of mobilizing sacrificial animals due to the policy of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) so that the slaughtering process took a long time and only finished until the distribution of the sacrificial meat at 4 PM.
Anisa Dwi Nursanti as Coordinating Minister for Social Affairs BEM FKIP UNS also explained that this meat sacrifice distribution activity could be used as a momentum to instill educational values such as sympathy, empathy, and cooperation to the children in Rusunawa Putri Cempo Mojosongo through slaughtering, cutting, and distributing activities.
