FKIP – The Organizing Committee for Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held an Academic Orientation for PPG Students in Class 3 Positions on Thursday (15/7/2021).

Orientation activities were carried out through the Zoom Meeting application which begins with the opening. The activity continued with singing the anthem Indonesia Raya and a report from the Head of the PPG FKIP Study Program. This activity was opened by the Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. The academic orientation activity was attended by PPG lecturers and students from 12 Study Majors. Participants who attended came from 25 provinces and 153 districts.

The orientation activity was continued with the delivery of material on the implementation of the PPG material deepening by Okta Hadi Nur Cahyono, S.Pd., M.Sc., M.A. with the title “Problem-Based Teaching Material Analyswas”. The second material was delivered by Dr. Sukarno, M.Pd. namely regarding the implementation of the development of PPG learning tools.

After the two speakers, the third material was delivered by Prof. Dr. Suciati, M.Pd. with the implementation of Field Experience Practice (PPL) and PPG.

“After participating in all activities, students will take a comprehensive test which was the gateway to the requirements for participating in PPL,” explained Prof. Suci.

The fourth material contained an introduction to the UNS Learning Management System (LMS). The material was delivered by Muhammad Faruq Afif.

“If PPG students face difficulties or obstacles during the implementation of PPG activities, then the IT party from the PPG committee was ready to help,” said Arifa as the event guide.

The event ended with a two-term question and answer session with three questioners in each term. After the question and answer session ended, PPG students were directed to take part in the breakout room according to their respective study programs.
