FKIP – The Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a deliberation and gave appreciation to the Chairman of UPM, Dr. eng. Herman Saputro, M.Pd., M.T. for his new position as Deputy Dean III of the Vocational School (SV) UNS through the Zoom Meeting on Wednesday (4/8/2021).

The event was hosted by Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si. as Deputy Dean I for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs. The activity was opened with remarks from Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS. In his speech, he congratulated Dr. Herman as chairman of UPM FKIP for his new mandate as Deputy Dean III of SV UNS.

“Our UPM chairman was appointed as Vice Dean at Vocational School. We are happy because it means that our human resources are trusted by the university, so they are trusted to carry out a greater mandate,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

On the other hand, Dr. Mardiyana said that the faculty felt lost because of the shortage of UPM personnel. However, Dr. Mardiyana still feels proud because it shows that the competence of human resources in FKIP is recognized by the university.

The event continued with a response by Dr. Herman, who expressed his admiration for the faculty’s response to the vacant situation in UPM’s leadership.

“I had planned to gather you this month, but it was already initiated by Deputy Dean I,” Dr. Herman explained.

The activity was continued with an explanation of the duties and responsibilities of each field at UPM by Dr. Herman. He also told the stages that he went through until he was elected as Deputy Dean III at SV. In addition, he also expressed his willingness to help and assist UPM until the new UPM structure was able to run on its own.

The next speaker was Dr. Dewi Kusuma Wardani, M.Sc. as Deputy Dean II for Human Resources, Finance, and Logistics who hope that the atmosphere of UPM that has been built will not disappear if it is replaced with a new leader.

“I hope that the atmosphere of UPM that has been built during Mr. Herman leadership will not disappear,” said Dr. Dewi.
