FKIP – Students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta succeeded in making achievements in the National Level Public Service Advertisement Video Competition at the Agrixplosion 2021 event held by the Agricultural Extension and Communication Student Association of Sebelas Maret University (HM Pelita UNS). Coming from the Natural Sciences Education Study Program, this student named Yokanang Chandra Arfiansyah managed to win 2nd place.
As a team leader, he was accompanied by Dena Olivia Christy from the UNS Soil Science Study Program and Lingga Harzaldi Sukarno from the UNS Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program. The competition was held online starting from the registration process to the announcement of the competition.
The Agrixplosion 2021 event, the culmination of which be held through a Zoom Meeting on Sunday (7/8/2021), there were three categories of competitions at the national level, namely essay competitions, public service advertisement videos, and podcast. Meanwhile, the theme of the competition was “Young Generation as a Key Leader of Indonesia’s Agricultural Future Fate”.
In the community service video, Yokanang and the team provided material about an invitation to the millennial generation to go directly to the agricultural sector as an effort to empower the agricultural sector in Indonesia. Yokanang and his team hope that the video can motivate the millennial generation to participate in developing agriculture in Indonesia.
“Hopefully with this video, the younger generation can be moved to build the agricultural sector in Indonesia to become powerful,” said Yokanang.
