FKIP – Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta provides entrepreneurship material online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application and broadcast live through the official Youtube channel of FKIP UNS on Sunday (15/8/2021).
Presenting speaker namely M. Farid Sunarto, S.Pd., M.Si., the material was delivered for 30 minutes with the theme “Millenial Preneur”. Sunarno started the presentation of the material by mentioning the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.
“Now we are in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which changes all segments of people’s lives and causes disruption,” said Sunarto.
According to Sunarto, hyper-digitalization is very influential in human life today.
“Hyper-digitalization is very influential in our lives. Now there are mobile devices, IoT platforms, location detection technologies, and so on,” Sunarto explained.
Sunarto explained that generation Z or current students need to master 3M, namely multimedia, multiplatform, and multitasking.
“The millennial character in the 4.0 era, feels that they know more information, so they don’t like being patronized. Many answer choices, so don’t like to be forced. Now we have freedom of thought, so we demand that our opinions be respected,” said Sunarto.
Sunarto also explained the prerequisites for becoming a millennial preneur by mastering several competencies.
“There are 6 aspects that students need to pay attention to, namely mastering 3M competencies, good digital personal profiling, intelligence, and character. Also, you must always be curious and enthusiastic, have a passion for at least one hobby, and dare to start,” Sunarto concluded.
