FKIP – Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held an online evaluation meeting for the Master Program (S-2) and Doctoral Program (S-3) on Monday (31/8/2021) via the Zoom Meeting application.

The meeting was opened by Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si. as Vice Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKIP UNS. After opening the meeting, he presented a report on student input data and graphs per semester from 2017 to 2021. At the end of his presentation, he invited the meeting participants to use this meeting as a joint evaluation tool.

“Both in terms of process and results, let’s take this opportunity to reflect together to evaluate what we have achieved, why there is a downward graph, and why when it can increase. Even though at this time no careful studies have been carried out, but at least there are various variables that can be studied, for example, population,” said Prof. Slamet.

The meeting continued with the delivery of information related to the evaluations of Study Programs by the Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. He conveyed the need for graphic stability for each Study Program to maintain accreditation.

“At this time we are conducting several evaluations related to our educational process, whether it is really affected by the Covid-19 pandemic or caused by other reasons. Recently, the extension of accreditation is not automatic by BAN-PT for universities PTN-BH, so it is necessary to check first in the PDDikti data whether the input of Study Program is getting better or not, what is the ratio of lecturers to students, and how is the output. Therefore, if this is not getting better, there is a possibility that the accreditation may decrease, ” explained Dr. Mardiyana.

The meeting activity was continued with a discussion of the problems or obstacles experienced by each Study Program. The hope is that difficulties and identification of problems can be found so that solutions can be discussed for the common good.
