FKIP – Student of the Fine Arts Education Study Program (PSR) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta, Gohan Jul’fianto won 1st place in the 2021 National Student Diversity Creation Competition in the painting branch. The competition was held by the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) of Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta on August 18, 2021.
With the theme of the provisions of “Diversity”, Gohan carried a painting titled Self Portrait for Diversity. Gohan explained that the painting is composed of several elements, namely a portrait of Gohan, biting gold rope, motifs, and symbols of six religions in Indonesia.
The meaning of Gohan’s portrait in the painting represents the role of students in upholding the value of tolerance in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the golden rope that bit his desire was his strong desire to advance Indonesia.
“The painting that I carried illustrates the diversity that exists in Indonesia. My self-portrait in the painting is a representation of my participation as a student in upholding the values of tolerance of existing diversity. Promote and bring Indonesia into a pluralistic country that is prosperous and victorious,” said Gohan.
Gohan hopes that the painting can be an encouragement for the younger generation to participate in upholding the diversity that exists in Indonesia.
Previously, Gohan also won 1st place in the 2021 Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta Anniversary Painting Competition.
In the future, he wants to hone his skills by continuing to work.
