FKIP – Students who are members of the Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta Real Working Group (KKN) Group 255 held educational activities for the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). This activity was aimed at people who are entrepreneurs in Punduhsari Village, Manyaran, Wonogiri, Central Java on Tuesday (31/08/2021).

In this activity, the enthusiasm of the residents of Punduhsari Village is quite high. This can be seen when they paid close attention to the explanation regarding the marketing of UMKM products delivered by the Head of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development (PPKwu) of the UNS Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM), Susantiningrum, S.Pd., S.E., M.A.B.

This UMKM development education activity aimed to provide information on product marketing strategies. The main target is focused on residents who have micro, small and medium UMKM. Residents who attend educational activities have various businesses, ranging from cassava chips, banana chips, cassava product, to the production of negligee clothes.

“Several marketing strategies that can be applied include product excellence, the right target market, attractive packaging, sales promotion, customer service, business networks, and keeping up with the times,” said Susantiningrum.

Nurlaela Tusifa as the coordinator of KKN UNS 255 hopes that this marketing strategy education activity for UMKM in Punduhsari, Manyaran, Wonogiri can help entrepreneurs who were starting a business or who already have a name in the market to reach their market even wider.
