FKIP – Students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta succeeded in making achievements in the national poster competition at the OHSWEEK COMPETITION event held by the K3 Student Association of Binawan University. Yokanang Chandra Arfiansyah from Science Education and Okisa Putri Nur F won 1st place in the competition.
The OHSWEEK COMPETITION 2021 activity carries the theme “Creating Safety and Health for Yourself and the Environment during a Pandemic: Public Safety”. The championship in this activity was announced online on Sunday (22/8/2021) with the result that UNS students became the winners (1st place).
In the competition, Yokanang carried the title “8 QUICK INSTRUCTIONS: Maintain Immunity and prevent Covid-19 in Public Transportation”. Eight accurate tips on public transportation were chosen because public transportation is one of three public spaces that have the potential to become new clusters for the spread of Covid-19 (Kemenkes RI). The message contained in the poster is about education on maintaining immunity and health while on public transportation.
“This poster can be interpreted as an education for users of public transportation to always implement health procedures and maintain immunity,” explained Yokanang, a UNS student who won the competition.
The 8 JITU tips described in this poster are 1) Make sure your body is in good health, 2) Wear a mask, 3) Bring a new normal starter pack (hand sanitizer, vitamins, drinking bottles), 4) Cough and sneeze etiquette, 5 ) Keep your distance, 6) Avoid physical contact with other passengers, 7) Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, 8) Avoid rush hour and crowded passengers.
“Hopefully, the future works can be more meaningful and have an impact on the wider community,” concluded Yokanang.
