FKIP – Five students of the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta successfully passed the UNS Global Challenge second wave of 2021 organized by the International Office (IO) UNS.

This program, which accommodates UNS students to gain international experiences such as summer school, online courses, and the like, has attracted the interest of Siti Aeniah (2019), Fianicha Shalihah (2019), Hasna Azzahra (2019), Mefta Rizki Qurrat ‘Aini (2018), and Dwika Sarnia Putri (2018). This was conveyed by Nia – Siti Aeniah’s nickname – who explained her reasons for joining the UNS Global Challenge program.

“The reason is that I’m interested, want to develop myself, and add experience. As the name suggests challenge, I want to measure and challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone through studying abroad and want to learn valuable lessons and experiences. I also didn’t want to miss the opportunity, so I decided to take part in the UNS Global Challenge,” said Nia.

Not only explaining her reasons for joining this program, Nia also explained the flow of the initial registration process until she passed this program.

“Initially looking for information and the desired program according to my background or study program, I signed up, completed the requirements, and got an interview call. After the interview, I waited for the announcement, and alhamdulillah passed, “said Nia.

At the end of the interview session, Nia conveyed her impressions and messages about joining the UNS Global Challenge.

“This is an unexpected fortune for me to take part in the UNS Global Challenge in my final days of college. This opportunity is a very valuable gift and I will make the best use of it because this is one of my prayers and wishes for a long time. Message to friends and myself, try not to regret it, don’t miss the opportunity for not trying. Believe in yourself because you are great, even beyond your expectations and put aside worries because they are only in your mind. Trying, praying, and being useful for others, that’s the true happiness of life,” Nia concluded.
