FKIP – Master of Educational Technology Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a practitioner lecture with Marshall Cavendis Education (MCE), Singapore on Thursday (9/9/2021) via Zoom Cloud Meetings. This activity was attended by more than 200 participants from students, teachers, and lecturers. Moderated by Dr. Arifa Dradjati as a lecturer in the Master’s Degree Program in Educational Technology. This event presented international speakers, namely Dr. Peter Esperanza as a lecturer from Barstow Community College, USA.

The Education Technology Master’s Degree Study Program, which organizes international practitioner lectures, hopes to create a synergistic collaboration to strengthen the competence of students and graduates of Masters in Educational Technology FKIP UNS. Moreover, MCE is a learning technology developer that has carried out various educational services and digital learning innovations.

The activity was opened directly by Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si. as Deputy Dean I for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKIP UNS. He expressed the importance of developing learning technology, especially during a pandemic like now. He also gave appreciation to the Master’s Program in Educational Technology FKIP UNS for its contribution and activeness in organizing academic activities at national and international levels.

Then, the second speech was delivered by a representative of Marshall Cavendis Education (MCE), namely Mr. Malvin. Mr. Malvin expressed his highest appreciation to UNS because it has been trusted to be the partner of S-2 Educational Technology FKIP UNS in creating academic creators, especially in designing e-teaching materials.

The event continued with the presentation of material by the speaker, namely Dr. Peter Esperanza. He delivered material about lively creative and innovative learning. The activity ended with the awarding of certificates of appreciation to Dr. Peter Esperanza by the Head of the Education Technology Masters Program, Dr. Triana Rejekiningsih, M.Pd. At the end of the activity, Dr. Peter advised educational technologists not to be afraid to start renewable innovations, so that the benefits can be felt by the community.
