FKIP – Mechanical Engineering Education Student Association (KOMPRESI) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Educational Sciences (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held an Achievement Motivation Training with the theme “Know Yourself, Know Your Success” through a Zoom Meeting on Sunday (17/10/2021).
The event began with remarks by Abdul Widayat Seno Adji as the chairman of the committee. Through his speech, Abdul conveyed the goals and expectations of holding this activity.
“During the current Covid pandemic, we need motivation, especially in the field of achievement. It is hoped that after participating in this activity, friends can be more motivated, especially in the field of achievement. Especially with such an extraordinary speaker,” said Abdul.
This event presented a resource person, Frandhoni Utomo, as Ph.D. Student in Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Central University, Taiwan. Frandhoni presented material with the title “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.

Frandhoni started the material with the question why should I pay attention?
“Workload and stress can lead to burnout. When friends are in that situation, try not to make any decisions,” explained Frandhoni.
Furthermore, Frandhoni explained the seven points mentioned at the beginning of the introduction.
“First, be proactive. Reactive people tend to complain when faced with a problem. In contrast to being proactive, proactive people will think of steps to take when faced with a problem. Proactive people will look for several options to solve various problems,” explained Frandhoni.
The second point is starting from the final destination. The final goal in question is the desired goal according to each individual. In this case, everyone’s definition of success can be different and everyone has the opportunity to have various goals, ranging from short, medium, and long-term goals.
The third point is to put the main thing first. At this point, Frandhoni shared time management which is classified into four, namely urgent important, not urgent important, urgent not important, and not urgent not important.
The fourth point is to think for mutual benefit. The fifth point is trying to understand for others to understand. The sixth point is synergized. Finally, the seventh point is sharpening the saw, starting from the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
The event ended with joint documentation and a one-term question and answer session.
