FKIP – Alumni Association (IKA) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held the IKA UNS Series 76 with the title “FKIP UNS Alumni Entrepreneur Stage” through Zoom Meeting and broadcast live through UNS youtube channel and TVRI channel on Wednesday (22/9/2021).

The activity was opened directly by Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, SH, M. Hum. as the Rector of UNS. In his speech, Prof. Jamal said that FKIP UNS alumni had the opportunity not only to become teachers but also to become entrepreneurs.

“The alumni of FKIP UNS have jumped from the existing habit because alumni of FKIP UNS are synonymous with being teachers, lecturers. However, our five speakers have come out of the norm by becoming independent entrepreneurs and employing a lot of workers,” said Prof. Jamal.

The event was hosted by moderator Susantiningrum, S.Pd., SE, M.AB. who is a lecturer in the Office Administration Education Study Program. The Wedangan program presented five speakers, namely Dr. Soeprayitno, M.BA, M.Sc. as multipreneur – a member of MWA UNS, Ir. Drs. Eko Nugroho BP, MM as CEO of PT Gemarang Terapanindo Argayasa, Drs. H. Joko Sutrisno, M.Pd. as a multi-business entrepreneur, M. Farid Sunarto, S.Pd., M.Si as Director of Sasa Sentra Subur, and Adi Nurcholis, S.Pd., M.Sc. as director of Adhiguna Jayalab.

The first speaker, Dr. Soeprayitno, M.BA, M.Sc. acting as a lighter in delivered material by interacting with participants about “How with Your DNA”. Next, Soeprayitno delivered material on how to start a business and the multipreneur roadmap. At the end of the presentation, Soeprayitno closed by giving a closing statement.

“Life must be great, broad, strong, great, and fruitful. What is simple is his attitude!” concluded Soeprayitno.

The second speaker, Ir. Drs. Eko Nugroho BP. MM shared his experience during his profession as an entrepreneur. Eko admitted that he started his career as an engineer at PT Berka Indonesia until he finally decided to start his own business. Furthermore, Eko conveyed several recipes in starting a business that he applied.

The activity was continued by giving advice regarding FKIP UNS alumni who became entrepreneurs by Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si as the Dean of FKIP UNS.

“Hopefully, after graduating, FKIP alumni can immediately work, continue their studies, and develop entrepreneurship. The current curriculum has been designed so that students can start entrepreneurship from an early age,” said Mardiyana.

The event continued with the presentation of material from M. Farid Sunarto, S.Pd., M.Si and Adi Nurcholis, S.Pd., M.Sc. Then ended with a question and answer session and a closing statement from Dr. Jono, M.Pd. as Deputy Dean of Planning, Business Cooperation, and Information FKIP UNS.

“Hopefully, the paradigm of cooperation between alumni and campus can be established,” concluded Dr. Djono.
