FKIP – Students of the Indonesian Language Education Masters Program (PBI) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta on behalf of Eko Setyawan won the Prasidatama Award from the Central Java Provincial Language Center (BBPJT) in the 2021 fiscal year. In the event, Eko won the Best Poetry Anthology Award in the Literature Category through his poetry anthology entitled “Visiting Janabijana”.

Held on Saturday (23/10/2021) at the Rama-Shinta Building, Patra Jasa Hotel Semarang, the Prasidatama Award in the 2021 fiscal year consists of two categories, namely the Best Indonesian Language User Category and the Literary Category. Then, the Literature Category is divided into several branches, namely Poetry Anthology, Novel, Short Story Anthology, Drama, and Javanese Poetry Anthology.


Eko explained that the poetry anthology “Visiting Janabijana” carried the theme of locality. The locality consists of history, culture, tourism, and customs in Karanganyar Regency.

“Visiting Janabijana is a collection of my poems published by Dluwang Publishers. This anthology carries the theme of locality, both in the form of history, culture, tourism, and customs in Karanganyar Regency. Through this anthology, I want to show that Karanganyar is not just a place to stop, but also a place to write many stories,” explained Eko via WhatsApp message, Saturday (10/30/2021).

Eko hopes that the poetry anthology book “Visiting Janabijana” can be enjoyed by many people as a reflection on the element of locality in Karanganyar Regency. In addition, he also hopes that the book can be used as a guide to understanding Karanganyar Regency through the medium of poetry and taught in classrooms.

“I hope that this book of poetry can be enjoyed by many people as a reflection on the history, myths, culture, and elements of the locality of Karanganyar Regency. This poetry book can also be used as a guide to understand Karanganyar Regency through the medium of poetry and taught in classrooms, both for students and students,” said Eko.

Previously, Eko had won several achievements. These achievements include 1st place in the 2019 National Poetry Writing Contest, 1st place in the 2019 Write the Future National Poetry Contest, 1st place in Keybella Media 2019 National Poetry Contest, 3rd place in the 2020 Language Observer National Poetry Competition, 1st place in the Copyright Competition National Poetry Festival UNS Surakarta 2020, and many other achievements. In addition, Eko has also succeeded in writing an anthology of poetry entitled “Merindukan Kepulangan” and an anthology of short stories entitled “Tak Ada yang Boleh Bersedih di Antara Kita”.
