Meanwhile, the speakers who were invited to this webinar were Dr. Anyanti Rahmawati as a psychologist as well as a PG PAUD UNS Lecturer and Dr. Diana as a PG PAUD Lecturer at the State University of Semarang (UNNES).
According to Dr. Anyanti, early childhood is a golden age because at this time children’s development is very rapid for everything that parents give, stimulate, and teach. In her presentation, she explained that in the early age range there is a sensitive period, at this time children are more receptive than in the past.
“At this early age, it will also be related to the sensitive period. The sensitive period is a period at a certain period when children’s sensitivity is more than the previous period,” she explained.
Dr. Anyanti added that basically, parents must hold firm on their children’s pleasures because children will enjoy what they do when children are happy.
“The words happy, happy, and happy we have to hold on to early childhood, we really hold it because the slogan that children play while learning, learning while playing, the point is to be able to achieve that is the word happy, happy, happy,” said Dr. Anayanti.
Furthermore, Dr. Anyanti said the importance of educating children was to give children a good and happy impression in carrying out all activities so that later children will feel confident that they are valuable and of course this is what parents expect.
“Happiness at an early age will make a deep impression on his next life and this is the most important mental foundation. When a child is happy at an early age, he will feel confident, feel himself worthy, so he will live his future with maturity, and with full confidence,” she continued.

Furthermore, in relation to the talents possessed by children according to Dr. Diana as the second speaker, has characteristics that are above average ability, high creativity, and self-reliance on tasks.
“Ability above average is interpreted as thinking ability that is above average too, but actually children who are below in terms of their thinking ability below average actually have potential and have talents that can be developed as well,” she explained.
Dr. Diana added, children who have intelligence with gifted children, although different, can be trained and develop their abilities. Efforts that can be made by parents to develop children’s interests and talents are to open children’s horizons, facilitate interests and talents, appreciate children’s activities, produce works, and enrich the knowledge.
