FKIP – Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta received a visit from the Quality Assurance Team of the Riau University FKIP (UNRI) for benchmarking on Saturday (9/10/2021). The activity which took place in Meeting Room I FKIP UNS Building was attended by the UNRI FKIP Quality Assurance Team, namely Dr. Sri Kartikowati, M.A., M.Bus. and Dr. Zetra Hainul Putra, S.Si., M.Sc. which was welcomed by the Dean of FKIP UNS, Deputy Dean I, Deputy Dean II, Deputy Dean III, FKIP SPMI Team, FKIP SPME Team, and FKIP Monev Team.

The event began with the handover of souvenirs between two parties, namely FKIP UNS and FKIP UNRI. The activity continued with remarks from Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS and Dr. Sri Kartikowati, M.A., M.Bus., representing the UNRI Quality Assurance Team.

At the core of the event, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. explained the vision and mission of FKIP UNS, human resources, map of the distribution of FKIP UNS campus locations, FKIP 2021 achievement targets, main tasks and functions of UPM, and targets for international accreditation of FKIP UNS. Activities in the framework of benchmarking are filled with academic sharing which focuses on discussions regarding international accreditation, and the sustainability of the PPEPP cycle regarding the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev).

The UPM FKIP UNRI team received an explanation of the preparation for international accreditation carried out by the FKIP UNS study program through international accreditation agencies such as ASIIN, FIBAA, and AQAS. In particular, the UNS FKIP team also shared information about the implementation of SPMI from the preparation of documents to the implementation of the cycle of determination, implementation, evaluation, review, and quality improvement at FKIP UNS.

In his presentation, Dr. Mardiyana explained that the SPMI documents in question include policy documents, manual documents, standard documents, and SPMI form documents. Furthermore, he said that the implementation of quality standards was evaluated through Internal Quality Audit (AMI) activities, both AMI level 1 and AMI level 2. “AMI level 1 is an AMI which is intended for all study programs at FKIP UNS starting from S1, Profession, S2, to S3 study programs. While AMI Level 2 is an AMI for the faculty level,” explained Dr. Mardiyana.
