FKIP – Deputy Dean 1 for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a coordination meeting for the preparation of accreditation akkreditierungsagentur für studiengänge der ingenieurwissenschaften, der informatics, der naturwissenschaften und der mathematicng (ASSIN) on Saturday (30/10/2021).

ASIIN is an international accreditation agency originating from Germany for engineering disciplines, computer science, natural sciences, and mathematics. On this occasion, the Study Program (Prodi) that will be assessed is the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program (PTM) FKIP UNS.

The coordination meeting was guided directly by Deputy Dean 1 FKIP UNS, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si. In the opening, Prof. Subiyantoro conveyed the agenda and implementation of the ASIIN visitation.

“Discussion regarding file preparation, infrastructure, videos for virtual tours, and other needs that need to be prepared. This accreditation will be held for three days, on 2-4 November, “said Prof. Subiyantoro.

This coordination was attended by Yuyun Estriyanto, M.T. as the Head of the PTM Study Program (Kaprodi), Dr. Indah Widiastuti, M. Eng. as representatives of the Education Quality Assurance and Development Institute (LPPMP), alumni, students, and user partners. The first report was submitted by Yuyun who conveyed the evaluation and plans to be implemented.

“For yesterday’s exercise, the lecturer team was good, no time was wasted, and the discussion was solid. For students, it has also dominated. For video surveys, the laboratory is also adequate for this activity,” explained Yuyun.

In addition to preparing administrative and technical matters, the team also made non-technical preparations in an effort to anticipate things that were not desirable. These preparations include correspondence, preparation in case of a power outage, and increasing the speed of wifi so that errors do not occur.

The second report was submitted by Indah from LPPMP who conveyed about the assessors who would conduct the visitation and gave some suggestions to prepare for the assessment session. The submission of the report ended with a response given by Prof. Subiyantoro.

“Hopefully we have enough preparation. We ask all components to support the success of this activity. This is a golden opportunity and we believe we can do it,” said Prof. Subiyantoro.

The event ended with a prayer led by Prof. Subiyantoro.
