FKIP – Lingkar Studi Pendidikan (LSP) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held Ngobar activity entitled “Ready to Compete, Ready to Administration”. The activity was carried out online on Saturday (20/11/2021) through the Zoom Meeting application.

Moderated by Rahma Dwi Arifah as Scientific Staff of LSP FKIP UNS 2021, this activity presented one speaker. Meanwhile, the speaker was Farah Yuki Prasetyawati. She is an Outstanding Student of FKIP UNS. She presented two topics of discussion. The first topic was the procedure for submitting achievement rewards at UNS, while the second topic was tips and tricks to become outstanding students.

Farah said that the first thing that must be considered when submitting a reward to UNS is making a proposal according to a format or systematic. Farah also explained how the reward submission system if the achievement is achieved in a group or team.

“Well, the first thing to pay attention to when submitting a reward is making a proposal. If the systematics of the proposed proposal is correct, then the next step will definitely be easy. Then what if the achievement is the work of a team from a different faculty? submitted to one of the faculties and the format adjusts to each faculty,” explained Farah.

Regarding the second topic, Farah explained that to become an outstanding student, it was necessary to have an achievement in a competition. She added that when participating in a competition, follow a competition that is credible and according to potential.

“Being an outstanding student does not have to go through the LKTI (Scientific Writing Competition) or GPA (Gradual Achievement Index). GPA is indeed a point, but not 100%. There is such a thing as a non-academic achievement. Everyone is an achiever, but with their own version -respectively. When participating in a competition, take part in a credible competition. Do not enter a predatory competition. In addition, look for competitions that match your talents and potential,” Farah explained.
