FKIP – Journal Management Unit (UPJ) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a series of training activities for writing scientific articles from the results of classroom action research (CAR) which was packaged in the form of a webinar entitled “Writing Training Webinar Class Action Research and CAR Publication” on Saturday (11/13/2021) online through the Zoom Meeting application.

Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si. as the Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKIP UNS in his speech said that the scientific revolution in the field of education is very useful and important for the intellectual life of the nation.
“The scientific revolution provides an impetus to educate the nation’s life through research and writing skills. This is of course very important and beneficial for our education world. Writing scientific papers will start a culture as researchers and writers,” said Prof. Slamet.

Moderated by Dr. Bramastia, M.Pd. as a Postgraduate Lecturer of FKIP UNS, this webinar presented three speakers. The first resource person is Dr. Drs. Yuli Bangun Nursanti, M.Pd. He is the Head of the Wonogiri Regency Education and Culture Office. He explained the legal basis for writing PTK and its objectives.
“The legal basis for writing classroom action research is Permen PAN and RB Number 16 of 2009 concerning Teacher Functional Positions and Credit Scores. Meanwhile, the purpose of this regulation is to improve or improve the quality of learning through research. For example, teachers learn how students learn in relation to the way students learn. teachers teach or develop learning models,” said Dr. Yuli
The second resource person is Dr. Farida Nurhasanah, M.Pd. He is a lecturer in Mathematics Education Study Program, FKIP UNS. In his presentation, he explained the importance of a teacher implementing CAR.
“There are four reasons why a teacher must carry out CAR. First is the demand for professionalism as stated in the PAN and RB Ministerial Regulations Number 16 of 2009 concerning Teacher Functional Positions and Credit Scores. Second, replication includes theory, context, and methodology. Third, as evidence and track record because the experience is documented in the form of scientific papers. The third resource person was Woro Sri Hastuti, M.Pd. He is a Lecturer of Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) Faculty of Education (FIP) Yogyakarta State University (UNY). In his presentation, he explained the benefits of PTK.
“Classroom action research has four benefits for a teacher. The first benefit is to improve the learning process in the classroom to get higher-quality results. Second, as a concrete action that is believed to be better than what is usually done. Third, solving real problems in the classroom. , improve the quality of learning as well as seek scientific answers as to why it can be solved by taking action,” said Woro.
