FKIP – Office Administration Education Study Program (PAP) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held writing training for the preparation of PKM. The training activities were carried out online on Sunday (31/10/2021) through the Zoom Cloud Meeting.
This activity presents the 1st outstanding student of FKIP UNS 2021, Farah Yuki Prasetyawati. Farah Yuki is a 2018 Physics Education student who also serves as Head of the department Writing 2021 UNS Student Scientific Study(SIM).
In her presentation, Farah Yuki opened her material by explaining the goals and intentions of preparing PKM.
“In the preparation of the PKM, the objectives of the preparation of the PKM include (1) making students individuals who know and obey the rules, (2) making students creative and innovative, (3) cooperative objectives, namely the preparation is based on the problems and needs of the community,” explained Yuki.
Yuki went on to explain the formulation of the idea and the formation of the team.

“Developing PKM needs to pay attention to the existence of the SDGs. There are 17 points in the sustainable development goals. Adjust your study background, for example about education and administration. After that, match the field of study with one of the fields in the SDGs to achieve a good idea,” continued Yuki.
“The important point in forming a PKM team should ideally consist of at least two batches, consisting of one or more fields of study. The most important thing is that the PKM theme that is compiled must be supported by the background of the students’ study,” explained Yuki.
Regarding PKM, there are several schemes or schemes in PKM, including PKM-Research, in the form of Exact Research (RE) and Social Humanities (RSH), PKM-Entrepreneurship (PKM-K), PKM-Community Service (PKM-PM), PKM -The application of science and technology (PKM-PI), PKM-Karsa Cipta (PKM-KC), PKM-Constructive Futuristic Ideas (PKM-GFK), PKM-Written Ideas (PKM-GT), PKM-Scientific Articles (PKM-AI). The majority of the PKM scheme will lead to the National Student Week (PIMNAS) activities. There is one scheme that does not end in PIMNAS, namely PKM-AI. PKM-AI leads to publication in scientific journals.

Yuki also emphasized the right way to map ideas, namely with a workflow of finding general problems, followed by specialization of ideas, providing solutions, analyzing solution weaknesses, providing supporting data, and being the final idea.
Search ideas can be through the ATM system (observe, imitate, modify). It is important to pay attention to the usefulness of the work to be made, the novelty of innovation, as well as its attractiveness and futuristic. In addition, ideas can be dissected through idea dissection with 5W+1H, to specify and clarify the ideas to be made.
The activity ended with a question and answer session and a group photo.
