FKIP – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta received a comparative study visit from the Faculty of Economics (FE) State University of Malang (UM). This offline activity was carried out on Thursday (11/18/2021) at Meeting Room 2 of FKIP UNS.
This activity was attended by a group from FE UM, namely Prof. Dr. Sri Umi Mintarti Widjaja, S.E., M.P., A.k., Dr. Agung Haryono, S.E., M.P, Ak., and Prof. Dr. Imam Mukhlis, S.E., M.Sc. Welcomed and attended by representatives of FKIP UNS, namely the Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., Deputy Dean of General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Dewi Kusuma Wardani, M.Sc., and the Deputy Dean of Planning, Business Cooperation, and Information, Dr. Djono, M.Pd. Also present were representatives from Lecturers of the Economic Education Study Program, namely Dr. Leny Noviani, S.Pd., M.Sc. and Dr. Muhammad Sabandi, S.E., M.Sc.
This comparative study activity was carried out in the context of implementing the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) activity launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek).
“This activity is a ‘bench marking’ activity carried out in the context of implementing the government’s program, namely Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka which was initiated by the Minister,” explained Dr. Mardiyana.
Dr. Mardiyana added that after the signing of the memorandum of understanding and cooperation agreement, the activities will be followed by other activities, such as lecturer exchanges, joint research, conferences, and joint journal management.
“After the signing of the MoU and MoA between FKIP UNS and FE UM, the activity will be followed by other activities, namely lecturer exchanges, joint research activities, joint conferences, joint journal management, and so on,” continued Dr. Mardiyana.
Dr. Djono, Deputy Dean of Planning, Business Cooperation, and Information, added that UNS cooperation activities in the implementation of MBKM were carried out with various parties.
“This activity is a form of cooperation that UNS has established with other universities. In addition to universities, cooperation is also carried out with the business world, district and city level agencies, provinces, and so on, “added Dr. Djono.
Dr. Djono added that the cooperation with UM is not the first time.
“The cooperation between UNS and UM was also carried out previously, namely between FKIP UNS and the UM Faculty of Social Sciences, UNS FKIP and the UM Faculty of Letters, and now UNS FKIP with the UM Faculty of Economics,” said Dr. Djono.
Dr. Mardiyana hopes that this collaboration can be followed up with real activities.
“We always hope that every MoU and MoA will be followed up with real activities in order to achieve the Key Performance Indicators that have been jointly determined, in this case the percentage of students who take part in MBKM and the percentage of study programs that collaborate with partners in the country. or abroad,” concluded Dr. Mardiyana.
