“This activity is expected not only to establish cooperation but also to improve university performance in the future,” said Prof. Slamet.

Furthermore, the official acceptance of the visit was carried out by Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS. In his speech, Dr. Mardiyana expressed his gratitude to the three universities that had visited FKIP UNS.

“It’s an award for us, friends can come here to study together. Especially UNRAM and UBT which are still in the same FKIP forum,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

During this visit, each university was divided into three forums according to the respective discussion topics discussed. This time, the University of Borneo Tarakan discussed the implementation of the Preschool Field Introduction (PLP), the University of Mataram discussed the cooperation in establishing the S-3 Science Education Study Program, and the State University of Malang regarding the benchmarks between UNS and the State University of Malang.

The visit began with an explanation of the profile of UNS FKIP, organizational structure, performance targets for the 2021-2024 Main Performance Indicators (IKU), faculty accreditation status, professional certification plans for study programs, as well as the contribution of FKIP UNS in the 2021 National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) by Dr. Mardiyana.

With regard to professional certification, Dr. Mardiyana hopes that later all study programs at FKIP UNS will have a professional test scheme so that FKIP UNS graduates are expected not only to have graduation certificates and certificates of accompanying diplomas (SKPI), but also to have professional certificates.

“Hopefully, all study programs have a professional test scheme, so that the output of graduates is not only SKPI and graduation certificates, but also professional certificates,” explained Dr. Mardiyana.

Dr. Mardiyana also conveyed the target of FKIP UNS to achieve comprehensive international accreditation in 2023.

“Currently several study programs are in the process of applying for international accreditation. It is hoped that by the end of 2023 all FKIP UNS S-1 Study Programs will be internationally accredited,” he concluded.

After the presentation of the profile of FKIP UNS by Dr. Mardiyana, the activity continued with a discussion forum. A visit made by the University of Borneo Tarakan was carried out in the context of a comparative study on the implementation of PLP chaired by Winarno, S.Pd., M.Pd., and its members are Ni Made Diah Padmi, S.Pd., M.Pd and Riska Febriani, S.E. This was continued by participating in the 2021 FKIP UNS PLP Implementation Evaluation Workshop. The workshop was organized by UP2KT FKIP UNS in the 3rd Floor Hall of FKIP UNS Building F and was attended by the principals of partner junior and senior high schools.

On the other hand, the Head of the S-3 Science Education Study Program (Kaprodi) UNS Prof. Sulistyo Saputro, M.Si, Ph.D. together with Prof. Agus Ramdani from the University of Mataram also continued the discussion regarding the opening of the S-3 Science Education program at the University of Mataram and the discussion of UNRAM’s collaboration with FKIP UNS.

In the discussion, Prof. Sulis explained the management of S-3 Science Education in FKIP UNS comprehensively. Starting from the profiles of study programs, lecturers, alumni, development plans, track record of research that has been carried out and the hope of realizing the vision of S-3 Science Education in 2024 as an excellent university at the international level.

Relating to the achievement of the vision to excel at the international level. The S-3 Science Education Study Program FKIP UNS will gradually and continuously hold guest lectures, international conferences, and visiting professors from various countries and universities in Indonesia.

“Alhamdulillah, towards 2024, several programs to realize the vision of superior study programs at the international level have been going well. This is evidenced by the presence of S-3 Science Education registrants from abroad. Yesterday I was just contacted by the International Office that there were S-3 applicants. from abroad. It is a pride that UNS internationalization can increase the interest of our study program, “explained Prof. Sulis.

After the presentation was over, Prof. Agus as a representative from Mataram University conveyed his response. He said that on November 16, UNRAM had carried out a field assessment for the opening of a new S-3 Science Education study program.

“Yesterday we received approval for the establishment of a new doctoral study program. After the field assessment, there is a big homework on infrastructure that must be completed in the next two weeks. Frankly, we do not know if the means of self-study is the main condition for the establishment of this new study program. Because UNS has previously obtained an operational permit, therefore we have come to UNS to study this,” he explained.

The activity ended with the signing of a cooperation agreement between FKIP UNS and UNRAM and the handing over of mementos.
