With the theme “The Role of Youth in Facing Leadership Challenges in the Digital Age”, the seminar was officially opened by the Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKIP UNS, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si.

Moderated by Yhulita Kumala Pramurdya as a student of the PPKn FKIP UNS Study Program, this seminar presented three speakers.

The first speaker was Prof. Dr. Triyanto, S.H., M. Hum. He is a PPKn FKIP UNS Lecturer. He presented a material entitled “The Role of Youth in Facing Leadership Challenges in the Era of Digitalization”. In his presentation, he explained that there are three keys to positive leadership characteristics in the digital era, namely being able to be a good communicator, building the participation of all members, and providing visionary directions and clear goals.

“I summarize there are three keys to positive leadership characteristics in the digital era. The first character is to be a good communicator. A good leader is able to understand the feelings and emotions of others, here are the members. The second character is being able to build member participation at all levels. Meanwhile, the last character is being able to provide a visionary direction and clear goals,” explained Prof. Triyanto.

The second speaker was Dharmaji Suradika. He is the CEO of Pemimpin.id. He explained the material entitled “Training Leadership: Digital Leadership in a Disruptive Era”. In his presentation, he explained that to start becoming a leader, one must understand self-leadership.

“When we start learning leadership, there must be several levels. The most basic level in leadership that must be known and understood is self-leadership. Self-leadership is divided into three, namely self-concept, self-awareness, and self-regulation. So, to be a good leader, we must have a good self-concept, be aware of our strengths and weaknesses, and be able to self-regulate,” explained Dharmaji.

Meanwhile, the third speaker in this seminar was Faldo Maldini, S.Si., M.Res., M.I.Pol. He is the Special Staff of the Minister of State Secretary. In his presentation, he explained that future leadership requires leaders who have strong digital muscles.

“In the era of digitalization, people are more afraid of being bullied on social media. So, future leadership seems to need people who have strong digital muscles. This strong digital muscle is not only meant to be bullied but means they are able to smile at those who bully them. They are able to do good to those who hate him. They are able to praise and help those who hurt him,” explained Faldi.
