FKIP – Student Activity Unit (UKM) Islamic Activity Center (SKI) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held an online Muslimah Talkshow on Saturday (11/13/2021).
The Muslimah Talkshow is a big agenda organized by the SKI Surakarta Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program and Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program as a forum for Muslim students to know and add insight about Islamic knowledge. The existence of this activity was expected to add insight and Islamic knowledge so that it can be applied in everyday life.
The 2021 Muslimah Talkshow carried the theme “Great Incubation of Muslimah Builders of Civilization in the Millennial Era”. The speaker who was presented in this event was Atika Cahya Ningrum. The talkshow was guided directly by Rakhmawati, an alumnus of PGSD UNS.
Atika explained that it is important to have critical thinking at this time.
“Actually, the key lies on us. How do we have critical thinking nature filters to respond to issues. The standard is in the rules made by Allah. That’s why it’s very important for us to strengthen our power,” Atika replied.
Next, the moderator asked about the identity crisis that was currently rife among women.
Atika answered neutrally and studied the incident, not to attack the culprit.
“If they choose to dance in front of the camera at the expense of their shame, it becomes a lesson for us that shame is slowly being eroded. We can’t control them, what we can control is ourselves. At least we can control them so they don’t get carried away,” answered Atika.
Atika also invited the participants to review some of the things that were being done.
“Don’t turn it upside down, something that should be used as a vehicle by us is actually used as a destination. For example, what do we study for? Is it just pursuing knowledge? If you pursue knowledge, it’s not wrong, but don’t make pursuing knowledge your goal because if you get knowledge later, you will feel empty. Make the pursuit of knowledge a vehicle for the pleasure of Allah,” Atika explained.
