FKIP – Three Student Creativity Program (PKM) teams from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta won medals at the Student Science Week event at the University of North Sumatra (USU), Friday (10/29/2021). The three medals are two gold medals in the poster category and one bronze medal in the poster category.

Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKIP UNS, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si. confirmed the achievements of the FKIP students.

“Alhamdulillah, FKIP UNS managed to get two gold medals and one bronze medal at the 34th Pimnas event. All three are from the poster category. With this achievement, FKIP UNS became the most superior in UNS at the 34th Pimnas event. Of course, we need to be grateful for this, considering that Pimnas is the most prestigious award event for the student level,” explained Prof. Slamet, Monday (1/11/2021).

Two teams won gold medals in the poster category. The first medal was won by the Student Creativity Program – Application of Science and Technology (PKM-PI) team led by Dwi Yudha Meydiansyah with the title “Increasing Productivity of Fish Meal Production by Applying Double Counting Technology for Fish Feed Independence at MSME Partners Margo Mulyo Abadi”. While the second medal was won by the Student-Entrepreneurship Creativity Program Team (PKM-K) chaired by Anggun Prasasti with the title “Business Opportunities for Selling Billingual Augmented Reality Books to Educate Children about the Corona Virus”.

For the gold medal poster category, the Student-Entrepreneurship Creativity Program Team (PKM-K) was typed by Sony Baroo Amirulloh with the title “Indonesian Endemic Animal Comic Serial T-shirt Based on Smart Card Characters as a Media for Children’s Character Education to Realize Student Creative Enterprises”.

Based on the evaluation, Prof. Slamet explained that FKIP UNS had prepared several strategies to deal with the 35th Pimnas. In the future, PKM participants will go through several stages to optimize the uploading of their articles.

“Hopefully, we can get even better achievements in the Pimnas event. We have designed several strategies for the preparation of the Pimnas itself. In the future, we plan to have PKM experts for descriptions and tips for students and their accompanying lecturers. Prepare reviewers at two levels to correct university articles and will coordinate with the reviewers,” explained Prof. Slamet.
