FKIP – Citizenship Education Study Program (PPKn) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a joint lecture with PPKn Study Program Mataram State University (UNRAM) and PPKn Study Program Surabaya State University (UNESA). This joint lecture was held online on Saturday (6/11/2021).
The joint lecture was attended by a team of UNS lecturers, namely Dr. Winarno, S.Pd. and Wijianto, S.Pd., M.Sc. Also attended by a team of UNRAM lecturers, namely Dr. Edy Herianto, M.Ed., Basariah, S.Pd., and M. Mustari, M.A., Ph.D. and, attended by a team of UNS lecturers, namely Drs. Made Suanda, M.Si. and Dr. Oksiana Jatiningsih, M.Si.
This activity was carried out with the aim of establishing togetherness, finding differences, as well as reviewing and discussing the assessment of civic education learning
“This joint lecture is very interesting and extraordinary because it is attended by PPKn students from three institutions, namely UNS, UNRAM, and UNESA. This activity will certainly make the fabric of togetherness and find differences. The difference itself is something beautiful,“ said Dr. Winarno, Head of the PPKn FKIP UNS Study Program.

The activity continued with the presentation of the material by the first speaker, namely Dr. Edy Herianto, M.Ed. The material presented by Dr. Edy is a cognitive assessment, High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK).
“Cognitive assessment related to HOTS formulated in Bloom’s Taxonomy. Learning must be directed in accordance with HOTS, namely in the realm of creating and evaluating,” said Dr. Eddy.
Dr. Edy provided HOTS teaching and assessment tips.
“HOTS teaching needs to consider ontology, axiology, and epistemology. These three pillars determine the real use of science, the use of science, the purpose of teaching science, the use of science, as well as critical thinking related to the nature, rationality, and justification of science,” continued Dr. Eddy.

The activity was continued with a material presentation by Wijiyanto, S.Pd., M.Sc. The material presented by Wijiyanto is about attitude assessment and the components of attitude assessment.
“Attitude assessment is an extension of the views and values of a person’s life. The attitude assessment components are affective, cognitive, and conative,” explained Wijiyanto.
Wijianto continued the material on developing instruments for assessing attitudes and citizenship skills.
“Attitude assessment is related to the Civics component, namely civic knowledge, civic disposition, civic skills. Civic skills are related to intellectual skills and participatory skills,” continued Wjiyanto.
