FKIP – Chemistry Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a Star Up Entrepreneurship mentoring activity aimed at students and alumni of the Chemistry Education Study Program on Sunday (28/ 11/2021).

Entrepreneurship start up mentoring activities were part of the 2021 Chemistry Education Study Program creative leap program in order to increase the number of students and graduates who have sufficient income from entrepreneurship.

The purpose of this entrepreneurial start up mentoring activity was to establish cooperation between the Chemistry Education Study Program and partners from industry, the implementation of work internships in industry in the context of implementing the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) 20 Semester Credit Units (SKS) in industrial partners, improve student achievement, and graduates who are entrepreneurial in the field of chemistry and chemical education.

This activity was carried out offline in Building A, 2nd floor of FKIP UNS. The event was attended by students and alumni of the Chemistry Education Study Program, especially those who were just starting out in business.

In a series of events, this activity was opened by the Deputy Dean II for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Dewi Kusuma Wardani, M.Sc. The speakers who were presented in this activity were Drs. Mulyono who delivered material with the theme “Create Your Own Future”. Then, Eko Pujianto, S.Pd. with an explanation of the material about “Fundamental Business”.

Ari Syahidul Shidiq, M. Pd., one of the coordinators in this entrepreneurship start-up mentoring activity, expressed his hope for the implementation of this activity.

“Hopefully this event can develop the business or business of students and alumni,” Ari explained.

At the end, Ari conveyed his plans for the future related to entrepreneurship start up mentoring activities that have been carried out, including entrepreneurship assistance and will hold similar programs in the coming year.

“It is planned that there will be business assistance for students from alumni who are already successful in entrepreneurship. For the next year, hopefully it will continue to support the achievement of the vision of the Chemistry Education Study Program, which is to create graduates who are capable of entrepreneurship,” Ari concluded.
