FKIP – Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a Visiting Lecture Techno Educare Session 2 on Tuesday (21/12/2021). Themed “Implementation of TPACK in Learning to Accelerate the Digital Era to Realize Civilized Education”, the activity was held online through the Zoom Meeting application and live streaming through the PGSD FKIP UNS YouTube account.
In his speech, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS said that the theme carried out in this activity was very relevant to the demands of the times, especially regarding digitalization in the learning process.

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires us to study technological advances so that we don’t lag behind others given the rapidly changing developments at this time. In addition, the Covid-19 pandemic also requires us to be able to take advantage of technology on all fronts, including activities related to learning. Therefore, the theme in this activity is very relevant to be discussed together,” explained Dr. Mardiyana.
Moderated by Nasim Hamid as a student of the PGSD FKIP UNS Study Program, the activity presented one resource person. Meanwhile, the resource person was Dr. Mazarul Hasan. He is a Lecturer at the Sultan Idris Universiti Pendidikan, Tanjong Malim, Malaysia. He explained the material entitled “Digitizing in Low School Education in Malaysia”.

In his presentation, he explained the material starting from the introduction of digitization in education, the background of the existence of digitization in education, education development plans Malaysia wave 3, the development of learning objects, the role of technology in learning, to the attitudes needed for the digitizing process in education. Dr. Mazarul argues that there are 5 roles of technology in increasing the level of student learning efforts.
“Technology has five interests or roles of technology in me increase the level of student learning ability. The first role is to enhance the learning experience. The second role is to attract students’ interest in learning. The third role is to open students’ perspectives on the latest ways of delivering education. The fourth role is to promote learning outside of school time. Meanwhile, his last role is to make students have the critical thinking,” explained Dr. Mazarul.
At the end of his presentation, he emphasized that digital learning in today’s era is no longer a size medium, but has become a necessity.
“Today the norms of life are changing. Digital learning is no longer a side medium but a necessity. This is because the development of technology has no boundaries and boundaries where it continues to develop from day to day and across the ages,” asserted Dr. Mazarul. The
