FKIP – Elementary School Teacher Education Student (PGSD) Surakarta Teacher Training and Education Faculty Educational Sciences (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta won 3rd Place in the Microteaching Competition at the TECHNO EDUCARE #2 event held by PGSD FKIP UNS. The student who won this competition was on behalf of Abdul Aziz, a 2018 PGSD student.

. This activity was carried out to improve the quality of teachers in the TPACK field (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge)_. This series of activities will be held online from November 25, 2021, to December 21, 2021. Aziz explained how he felt about participating in this competition.

“The competition process was quite stressful because this was my first time participating in a microteaching competition and only taking advantage of the moment after the PLP because there are many competent participants out there who deserve to be praised for their work,” explained Aziz, when contacted by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Thursday (30/12/2021).

In this microteaching competition, Aziz makes a teaching video with digital concept packaging, so that teaching is more interesting.

“The teaching videos made are packaged digitally, which combines visual elements and teaching videos so that they have a modern and attractive impression,” said Aziz.

Aziz also shared his impression of winning this competition.

“My impression of winning this competition is extraordinary, as the closing competition in 2021, I feel satisfied, what’s more, this is the first time for a microteaching competition and won 3rd place nationally,” continued Aziz.

At the end of the interview, Aziz expressed his hope for the future, namely that students will have the courage to excel, do not hesitate, and are not afraid to fail.

“Hopefully, hopefully, this event can continue to run to create the spirit of the student competition in the field of national and benchmarks against teaching skills for future teacher candidates carrier changes the Indonesian people,” said Aziz

“Hopefully more and more students who do not doubt the ability of themselves and dare to try to achieve even though it is the first time, whether we succeed or not, we try and pray and then God will answer. Don’t be afraid to fail before trying. Failure is normal for those who want to be successful, “concluded Aziz.
