FKIP – Center for Islamic Activities (SKI) Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Teacher Education for Elementary Age Education (PG-PAUD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a study with the theme “Becoming a Great Student by Obeying the Shari’a”. This activity is a Grand Closing (GC) General Study of SKI PGSD PG-PAUD FKIP UNS for the 2021 period.

This activity, which is a work program in the field of SKI PGSD PG-PAUD syiar, was carried out online through Google Meet on Saturday (11/12/2021). The speaker at this activity was Ust. Khusnul Aryanto and moderated by Rizky Hanif Prayitno.

In his presentation, Khusnul explained that a student must have the mentality to contribute, namely thinking about solutions to existing problems and taking action for the community.

“There are 2 contributions, the first is the contribution of thoughts, we as students contribute thoughts, and the contribution of what we do to society,” he explained.

Furthermore, according to Khusnul, from the two contributions, students should be able to act as principles in acting in society.

“Great students have principles that encourage them to show off not only because of a contribution so that people can see it, but the contribution of lillahi ta’ala,” he said.

Then Khusnul said that the process will not betray the results, being patient is going through the process is one of the keys to being a great student. The process needs to be supported by the quality of our friends around us.

“A good friend is not the one who always justifies us, but a good friend is the one who makes us right,” he said.

Finally, the step to becoming a great student is to obey the Shari’a. The sharia in question is Islamic law, namely the rules of life, human relations with God, relationships with others, and the natural environment by the Koran and hadith, as examples of how humans control emotions.

“A great person is not a person who is good at wrestling, but a great person is a person who can control his emotions when angry,” he said.
