FKIP – The Student Association of the Fine Arts Education Study Program (Himproser) of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held the 12th international art exhibition “Art Edu Care” this year. The exhibition was held on Thursday-Sunday (13-16/12/20121) at the Central Java Cultural Park (TBJT), Surakarta City by implementing health protocols.

Art Edu Care #12 this time carried the theme “Share Role”, a term that represents an alternative movement in the artistic process. The term “Share Role” is taken from English which means to share the road or share the task. In this case, what was meant was to take responsibility for each other and help between actors in the artistic process.

There was something interesting about the implementation of Art Edu Care #12, namely that a pre-event activity was held in the form of making a mural in Tipes, Serengan, Surakarta City on Monday (11/15/2021). These activities involved children and local residents.

Meanwhile, the peak of the implementation of Art Edu Care #12 was held by holding an art exhibition for four days. The exhibition was open to the public by filling out the reservation link to get tickets online. There are three sessions that visitors can choose from each day. The use of these sessions was intended to minimize the occurrence of crowds in the place so that visitors who come to the location feel safe and comfortable.

On the first day of the exhibition (Thursday, 13/12/2021), a grand opening Art Edu Care #12 event was held. The activity was opened with remarks by the Chair of the AEC Committee, the General Chair of the FKIP UNS Himproser, the Head of the Fine Arts Education Study Program (PSR) FKIP UNS, and the Deputy Dean of FKIP UNS. Then, the activity continued with performances from Keseso, Riska, and Riski, as well as Rindy and Gohan.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Sc., as the Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs at FKIP UNS expressed his appreciation and hope for the implementation of Art Edu Care #12.

“The process and art products that are packaged in the 12th international art exhibition, Art Edu Care, which has never been interrupted once, is great work. Therefore, we express our high appreciation for the implementation of this 12th Art Edu Care activity and hope that this activity can run smoothly and successfully,” said Prof. Slamet.

On the second day of the exhibition (Friday, 14/12/2021) an Art Edutalk “Recap” activity was held. Filled by Figur Rahman Fuad, S.Pd., M.A. as alumnus and Lecturer of PSR FKIP UNS and Amin Ma’ruf as Chair of the Committee for Art Edu Care #12, this activity was packaged in the form of a broadcast discussing the journey of Art Edu Care #1 to #12.

On the third day of the exhibition (Saturday, 12/15/2021), an Art Edu Award event was held with the theme “One Day Crazy”. Then, the closing of Art Edu Care #12 was held on Sunday (12/16/2021) with art performances filled by Albertus Andhika, Cahya Fajar Ramadhan, Ali Fauzi, Bara Lesara, and Ari Wahyudandi.
