FKIP – Student of Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta on behalf of Fikrul Amrudin won 2nd place in the National Poster Competition at the Education Festival (Edufest) organized by the Student Executive Board (BEM) FKIP UNS.

Edufest itself is a work program under the auspices of the Ministry of Harmonization and Student Collaboration (Harmony) of BEM FKIP UNS 2021. The activity consists of several series of events, namely the Grand Opening of Edufest 2021, National Poster Competition, National Essay Competition, National Level Music Cover Competition, National Level Mobile Legend Competition, and Grand Closing Edufest 2021.

In the poster competition with the theme “Synergy to Build Cultural Education”, Fikrul carried a poster entitled “Create Cultural Education”. Announced during the Grand Closing Edufest (Sunday, 5/12/2021) which was held in a hybrid manner in the Hall of Building F FKIP UNS by implementing health protocols and live broadcasting on Youtube BEM FKIP UNS, the poster won.

2nd placeFikrul explained that the poster contains the picture of a teacher who teaches Indonesian culture to his students so that the negative impact of the times does not threaten their cultural knowledge.

“The poster depicts a teacher who teaches students digitally about the cultures that exist in Indonesia, which at this time the development of the digital world is increasingly fierce and can threaten children’s knowledge of culture,” explained Fikrul via WhatsApp message on Saturday (22/1). /2022).

Fikrul hopes that the poster can give an understanding that in following the current developments of the times, we can still preserve culture.

“I hope the poster will provide knowledge and understanding to children in Indonesia that in following the currents of world development, you do not have to leave the existing culture. This means that we can still preserve culture and keep up with the times,” Fikrul hoped.

At the end of the interview, Fikrul explained that in the future he wants to continue to hone his skills and be able to achieve achievements by participating in various competitions according to his interests and talents.

“plan is future My look for competitions that match my interests and talents. Thus, I hope to hone my skills and get a winner of course,” concluded Fikrul.
