FKIP — Leaders of State Teacher Training and Educational Sciences (FKIP) throughout Indonesia held the 2022 Work Meeting Agenda for the second day on Saturday (29/1/2022) offline with the theme “The Role of LPTKs in Improving Human Resources for Teachers and Education Personnel in Distributed Era 4.0 21st Century”. On that occasion, FKIP UNS was appointed to host the work meeting.

Located at the UNS Inn, the Working Meeting of State FKIP Leaders throughout Indonesia also discussed the material with the theme “Socialization of the Accreditation of Independent Educational Accreditation Institutions (Lamdik)”. The material was delivered by Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani, M.Pd. He is the General Chair of the Lamdik Board of the Republic of Indonesia. Lamdik itself is an institution that has duties and responsibilities in accrediting study programs (prodi) in the field of education in Indonesia.

Moderated by Dr. Djono, M.Pd. as Deputy Dean of Planning, Business Cooperation, and Information FKIP UNS, Prof. Muclas explained the material entitled “External Quality Assurance of Education Study Programs by Lamdik”. In his presentation, he explained the material ranging from the differences between Lamdik’s work system and the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), study program accreditation procedures, the process of extending accreditation without submission (PEPA), the process of recognizing international accreditation, to Lamdik’s task in the transition period.

Prof. Muchlas explained that there are two differences between Lamdik’s work system and BAN-PT based on articles 4 and 8 of the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture (Permendikbud) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Number 5 of 2020 concerning Accreditation of Study Programs and Universities.

“There are several things that distinguish Lamdik from BAN-PT. Based on article 4 of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 5 of 2020 concerning Accreditation of Study Programs and Universities, it is stated that accreditation for study programs is carried out by Lamdik, while accreditation for universities is carried out by BAN-PT. Then based on article 8, Lamdik cannot carry out accreditation automatically”, explained Prof. Muchlas.

In line with that, he also added that based on article 53 of Law Number 12 of 2012 it was stated that the internal quality assurance system was developed by universities, while the external quality assurance system was carried out through accreditation by BAN-PT or Lamdik.

“The quality assurance system is carried out internally and externally. Internal quality assurance is based on Article 53 of Law Number 12 of 2012 developed by universities, while externally it is carried out through accreditation by BAN-PT or Lamdik,” added Prof. Muchlas.

At the end of the material presentation session, Prof. Muchlas conveyed three urgent tasks in the Lamdik transition period that had been submitted on Friday (21/1/2022) and were waiting for approval from the Accreditation Council (MA) of BAN-PT.

“Well, the following are three urgent tasks during the Lamdik transition period that have been submitted on January 21, 2022 and are waiting for approval from the BAN-PT Accreditation Council. 2 and S-3,” concluded Prof. Muchlas.

After the presentation of the material, the activity continued with a question and answer session guided by the moderator and ended with the delivery of mementos to the presenters.
