FKIP – Students of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) succeeded in making UNS proud at the national level. The student on behalf of Muhammad Nasyrur Rohman won 3rd place in the National Poster Competition organized by the Public Health Study Program Student Association (HMP) of the University of Veterans Bangun Nusantara (UNIVET) Sukoharjo.

This competition was held in commemoration of the 18th Anniversary of the Sukoharjo University Public Health Study Program (Prodi). This competition carries the theme “The Role of the Young Generation in Maintaining Mental Health for Healthy Indonesia.” The stages of this competition include registration, submission of works, upload of works, assessment, and announcement of winners.

The winners were announced online on Saturday (29/01/2022) with Nasyrur from UNS winning 3 winners. Nasyrur said that he carried a poster entitled “Maintaining Mental Health in the Covid-19 Pandemic with ME TIME.” This poster contains information about mental health and strategies for maintaining it.

“This poster contains information about mental health, ranging from restrictions on activities for children and adolescents during the Covid-19 pandemic, types of mental disorders during the Covid-19 pandemic, signs of disturbed mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic, to strategies for maintaining mental health. mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic, namely with ME TIME,” explained Nasyrur to the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Friday (25/02/2022).

Nasyrur also explained the meaning of ME TIME.

“ME TIME is an acronym for (1) Maintaining physical health by regulating diet, sleep, and exercise. (2) Express yourself with fun and productive activities. (3) Open or tell parents about feelings of worry that are being felt (4) Information that can increase anxiety should be reduced to see or read. (5) Contacting close friends to establish communication and share stories, (6) Emotions must be managed properly, by doing relaxation or meditation,” continued Nasyrur.

Nasyrur continued that through this poster, it is hoped that it can provide information and help children and adolescents in maintaining their mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is because mental health can affect a person’s daily activities. Therefore, it is important for each individual to understand how to strategy in maintaining mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nasyrur said that he was grateful and happy to win this competition.

“Grateful and happy to be the champion in this competition, so with this additional achievement, the 3 targets of winning in January have been achieved,” said Nasyrur.

Nasyrur also conveyed his plans and hopes for the future.

“Hopefully the ideas on this poster can be applied in everyday life so that the prevalence of mental disorders in Indonesia decreases. In addition, I hope that in the future my ideas and creativity will grow so that through the ideas on the posters that I make later, they can be useful for the community, “he concluded.
