FKIP – Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta receives Benchmarking visits from Senate FIP (Faculty of Education) Yogyakarta State University (UNY). The visit was welcomed and received directly by the Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., and the Chair of the Academic Senate of FKIP UNS Prof. Dr. Munawir Yusuf, M.Psi. accompanied by all ranks of the Deputy Dean of FKIP and members of the Academic Senate of FKIP UNS. Benchmarking which aims to determine the work and academic systems of the Academic Senate of FKIP UNS which has the status of PTN BH are located in Meeting Room I Building A FKIP UNS on Friday (4/2/2022).

The Benchmarking event with a brief profile of FKIP UNS and governance from the Academic Senate of FKIP UNS was also a gathering activity between the UNY Senate and the SA Senate of FKIP UNS.

In his remarks, Dr, Mardiyana M.Sc., as the Dean of FKIP UNS welcomed the Chair of the Senate and his entourage of the Yogyakarta State University FIP senate.
“We as representatives of FKIP UNS welcome the Chair of the Senate and the entire group of members of the Senate of the Faculty of Education (FIP) of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) at the FKIP of Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta,” said Mardiyana.

Next Dr. Mardiyana before explaining the brief profile of FKIP UNS also introduced the ranks of the Deputy Deans and Sub Coordinators of the UNS FKIP Section. A brief profile presentation of FKIP UNS explains the vision and mission of FKIP UNS BAGUS, there are 47 Study Programs, consisting of 24 Undergraduate Programs, 17 Masters Programs, 5 Doctoral Programs, and PPG Programs. Besides that, FKIP UNS has 31 Professors, 84 Head Lecturers, 131 Lectors, 192 Doctoral Degree Lecturers, 66 Expert Assistants, 69 Teaching Staff with a total of 381 Lecturers, 127 Educational staff, and approximately 10,000 students. In addition, FKIP UNS also has units such as the Education Development Center Unit (EDC), Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), School Field Introduction (PLP), Coordinator for Research Development, and Faculty Community Service (KPPMF).

In the end, Dr. Mardiyana hopes that with the Benchmarking visit as well as a form of friendship, hopefully, it can be useful and make the cooperation program between FIP UNY and FKIP UNS able to advance together and improve performance.

Prof. Dr. Munawir Yusuf, M.Psi. in his speech, also welcomed the Chair of the FIP Senate and its members.
“Once again, we welcome Mr. Chair of the Senate and also Mr. and Mrs. all members of the Senate of the Faculty of Education, State University of Yogyakarta,” explained Prof. Munawir.

On this occasion, Prof. Munawir Yusuf also introduced all members of the Academic Senate from FKIP UNS.
On the occasion of the welcome from Prof. Dr. Anik Gufron, M.Pd., as Chair of the Senate of the Faculty of Education (FIP) Yogyakarta State University (UNY) expressed his gratitude for the extraordinary welcome.

“We, as the Chair of the Senate and representing all members of the FIP UNY senate, thank you very much for this extraordinary welcome to us,” explained Prof. Anik.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Anik Ghufron, M.Pd., explained that the purpose of coming to this activity was the first to stay in touch and then want to know the governance of the FKIP UNS academic senate to prepare UNY for PTN BH.

In closing, Prof. Anik as Chair of the Senate of FIP UNY also introduced the members who were present in this benchmarking activity.

The contents of the presentation from Prof. Dr. Munawir Yusuf, M.Psi., explained the governance of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS, the regulation of the transition period to PTN BH, the functions of the Academic Senate, and the authorities of the Academic Senate of FKIP UNS which has PTN BH status.

The Benchmarking event closed with the delivery of souvenirs between the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS and the Faculty of Education (FIP) UNY.
