Give Insights to High School / Vocational High School Students, UNS KKN Students Hold Motivation Sharing Activities and Dissemination of KIP Scholarships to High School / Vocational High School Students in Sambiharjo Village

FKIP – Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta Real Work Lecture (KKN) students held a motivational sharing and socialization of the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) scholarship directly at the Sambiharjo Village Hall, Paranggupito District, Wonogiri Regency on Saturday (19/2/ 2022).

The motivational sharing and socialization of KIP scholarships was one of the UNS Group 126 KKN work programs chaired by Akbar Sutrimo with members Oktavia Alfa Putri Karmullan, Ema Prasetyaningsih Y., Achyina Tauhida, Ahmad Salis Nur Sidik, Adinda Mutiara Belia Arisani, Happy Viona Aderika PM , Adin Slamet Rahayu, Dwi Nurhayati, and Dhiya Restu Putra.

This work program is motivated by several problems that exist in Sambiharjo Village, Paranggupito District, Wonogiri Regency. These problems include the low quality of the available workforce and the high dropout rate. This has an impact on the Human Development Index (HDI), in particular the Average Length of Schooling (RLS).

This activity carries the theme “Improving the Quality of Education”. The goal is to open up the knowledge of high school/vocational high school (SMA/SMK) students in Sambiharjo Village about the importance of studying and introducing KIP scholarships so that students don’t have to worry about costs when continuing their studies to a higher level.

In collaboration with the hamlet head, this activity was attended by all high school/vocational students in Sambiharjo Village based on data collection from each hamlet head. The Sambiharjo Village Party also contributed to the implementation of this activity, which was related to the procurement of places and facilities and infrastructure.

When interviewed, Ema as one of the members of this group expressed the hope to be achieved by holding motivational sharing activities and socialization of KIP scholarships.

“In the end, it is hoped that this activity can help improve the quality of education in Sambiharjo Village by motivating high school / vocational students to continue their education to college through the KIP scholarship program,” said Ema when interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Saturday (26/2/2022).
