FKIP – Students participating in the Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Real Work Lecture (KKN) who are members of Group 55 have had a positive impact on the community in Pendem Village, Ngaringan, Grobogan, Central Java by holding traditional and agricultural market development activities. The activity was composed of three series, namely Training for Making Getuk Contents, Training for Making Tempe from Green Beans, and Training for Making Compost Fertilizers and Natural Pesticides.
Chaired by Okky Irwan Putra Pratama, the 55 UNS Community Service Program consists of 8 members. They are Kaifa Nunsyizuha, Niken Anggraeni, Rafi Agil Fandayu, Reza Mozan Ariazena, Rifqi Amrulah Fatah, Rizka Pramitha Ningrum, Rusdy Margo Utomo, and Rhizolla Bunga Pitaka.
When contacted by the UNS FKIP Journalist Team on Monday (28/2/2022), Okky said that the idea for implementing the work program came after he received information about the potential and conditions in Ngaringan from the Youth and Sports Service (Dispora), the Agriculture Service, and Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) Grobogan Regency. Of the several options offered, traditional market and agricultural development activities were selected as work programs.
“I am the only member of the group from Grobogan Regency. Therefore, I immediately contacted the Dispora, Agriculture Service, and Disperindag Grobogan Regency to ask about the potential and conditions of the terrain there. We were given various options regarding the work program. Then, I and my friends determine the options that can be developed as part of our work program,” said Okky.

The first series of activities is training for making getuk fill. Getuk fill is a traditional food made from cassava and is varied with cheese, chocolate, and jam fillings. The training was held on Monday (15/2/2022) and was attended by the women of Pendem Village Family Welfare Development (PKK).
The second series of activities is training on making tempe from green beans. Mung bean itself is an agricultural commodity from Pendem Village. This activity was carried out after training in making getuk fill.

Meanwhile, the third series of activities in the development of traditional and agricultural markets are training in making compost and natural pesticides from turmeric, garlic, aloe vera, and betel leaf. Held on Wednesday (17/2/2022), the activity was attended by the Management and Members of the Farmers Group Association (Gapoktan) of Pendem Village.
Okky and the team hope that the training that has been carried out by the 55 UNS KKN Group can be developed in the future by the people of Pendem Village.
“The hope is that when we leave Pendem Village, the results of the training we provide can continue to be developed there. Like the MSME training that we did, hopefully, the community will be able to find consumer markets in the future. As for training on making pesticides and fertilizers, we hope that with this In this way, farmers can save expenses and can maintain the ecosystem and soil elements there,” hoped Okky.
