FKIP – Sebelas Maret University (UNS) students who are members of the KKN 86 group carry out KKN activities in Logede Village, Pejagoan District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java. This activity was carried out from January 18 to March 2, 2022. This KKN activity was chaired by Syiva Levaza, a student of the Livestock Production Study Program of FP UNS, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Kuncoro Diharjo, ST., MT., who now serves as Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation at UNS.

Members of this KKN group include Tarisa Azizah (Civil Engineering/FT), Tatasa Diva Cahyakirana (Biology/FMIPA), Tara Nabila (Chemical Engineering/FT), Ananda Restu (State Administration/FISIP), Taufik Ardhiansyah (State Administration/ FISIP), Stella Maris (Communication Science. FISIP), Taufik Hidayat (Environmental Science/FMIPA), Yasin Nabil (Agrotechnology/FP), and Taufiq Imtiyazurrozin (Art Education/FKIP).

This KKN 86 activity carries the title “Economic Empowerment, Digitization, Socialization, and Community Welfare in Logede Village, Pejagoan District, Kebumen Regency”. The implementation of KKN in Logede Village began with a welcoming ceremony for the UNS 86 KKN team by Logede Village. Next, the activity is in the form of conveying work program ideas from the KKN team to village officials. After the work program idea is agreed upon by the KKN team, the KKN supervisor, and village officials; the UNS 86 KKN team began to prepare the work program.

The first work program implemented was the grand opening of literacy classes at the Logede Village Hall. This work program is aimed at elementary school students in Logede Village. The literacy class was held continuously for 9 meetings. The next activity was socialization and training on making ecobricks for the women managing the Logede Village waste bank.

The implementation of the next program is making biopore wells as an effort to reduce flood risk in Logede Village. Then, the socialization of village regulations related to environmental conservation was carried out through digital media. The activity was continued with socialization and training on making eco print tote bags and jumputan batik for PKK women.

Not only that, the program was continued with training on making ice cream as an innovation of processed livestock products. Then, socialization and training on the manufacture of natural pesticides and maintenance of the Logede Village food garden were carried out. Socialization related to maintaining environmental cleanliness was also carried out through education on maintaining environmental cleanliness in elementary schools, distribution of organic and inorganic trash cans, and making murals at the Logede Village Hall. The last work program carried out was socialization and training on making yogurt for PKK women in Logede Village.

Syiva Levaza, the head of the KKN 86 team, said that this KKN activity was expected to advance Logede Village and deal with various problems experienced by residents.

“The target of this KKN activity is expected to be able to advance the village through training on the manufacture of superior village products (Ecobrick, Jumputan Batik, Ecoprint Products, Natural Pesticides, Ice Cream, and Yoghurt; educating how to preserve the environment and education in maintaining environmental cleanliness that can be applied in everyday life). daily activities in Logede Village; dealing with environmental problems through the establishment of biopore wells; as well as increasing student interest in reading in Logede Village,” explained Syiva to the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Saturday (26/02/2022)

“The impression is that they get experiences that have not been obtained in college, such as socializing and applying knowledge with the community. Hopefully, KKN activities in the future can be better,” he concluded.
