FKIP – Students of the Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Real Work Lecture (KKN) Surakarta held the Ampelsari Literacy Festival (Glittering) at the Ampelsari Village Hall, Petanahan District, Kebumen Regency on Saturday (12/2/2022).

This activity carries the theme “Ampelsari Berliterasi” with the aim of enlivening the Ampelsari Village Hall as a form of support to enliven the Ampelsari movement as a literacy village.

This activity was carried out by UNS KKN Group 87 students, namely Theo Alfaro Darmajaya, Atikah Nurbaeti, Sukaryo, Taufiqah Apriliani, Teguh Juliansyah Putra, Theresia Adinda Kusuma Astuti, Theresia Ratih Mustika Sari Halim Gunadi, and Tiara Zhakiyatur Rofi’ah.


Glitter received a good response from the people of Ampelsari Village, Petanahan District, Kebumen Regency. This is evident from the large number of people who participated. Starting from students of Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Kindergarten (TK), Elementary School (SD) for each grade level, mothers, and the elderly community.

The Glitter event was filled with various interesting activities, including gymnastics, poetry reading competitions, quiz competitions, and the selection of the Omah Pintar Literacy Ambassador.

When interviewed, Theresia Ratih as a member of the UNS KKN Group 87 explained the series of Glittering activities.

“In the morning, the activity was filled with a gymnastics competition with the residents of Ampelsari Village with the categories of participants being the most flexible, the most unique, and the most energetic. The activity was continued with a coloring competition for PAUD, Kindergarten, and elderly levels. Coloring activities are very beneficial for motor skills. In the afternoon, poetry reading competition for elementary school grades III-VI. The Glitter event was closed with a quiz competition and the Selection of Literacy Ambassadors for Omah Pintar. Omah Pintar is a library that has become an icon of Ampelsari Village. Literacy Ambassador Omah Pinter is expected to be a role model to improve literacy culture in Ampelsari,” explained Theresia Ratih when interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Saturday (26/2/2022).

At the end, Theresia Ratih expressed her hopes to be achieved with the Ampelsari Literacy Festival.

“This activity is expected to maintain and increase the spirit of reading Ampelsari Village and become the entertainment of residents during the pandemic,” concluded Theresia Ratih.
