FKIP – The Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta signed a cooperation agreement with the Limited Liability Company (PT) Griya Bambu Kuning at Building A FKIP UNS on Thursday (17/3/2022).

The event was attended by the leadership of FKIP UNS, the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) team at FKIP UNS, the head of the study program, general manager of PT Griya Bambu Kuning, and general manager and owner of CV Safira Wood.

The activity began with a report from the MBKM FKIP UNS coordinator, namely Dr. Tri Murwaningsih, M.Sc., that the signing of this collaboration is highly anticipated because the MBKM program provides a great opportunity for students to improve their competence by studying outside the study program. With this collaboration, it is not only in the form of internships as a form of MBKM, but can also go further in a form of research or research activity.

In addition, there are six study programs at FKIP UNS that are incorporated, namely the Accounting Education Study Program, Office Administration Education Study Program, Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Fine Arts Education Study Program, Building Engineering Education Study Program, and Engineering Education Study Program Informatics and Computers.

Next in his speech, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., as the Dean of FKIP UNS said that the government launched the MBKM program which is a program that is expected to be a collaboration between the government, the world of education, parents, and the industrial or business world to jointly be involved in preparing competitive human resources in the future, especially human resources from students.

Next Dr. Mardiyana also said that FKIP UNS students are focused on being educators, but must be able to have good and good competencies, both soft skills and hard skills, so they have other alternatives going forward.

“With MBKM, it is hoped that the education world and the community and the industrial or business world will work together to prepare future human resources. FKIP UNS actually focuses on preparing human resources for educators. However, other competencies need to be developed, soft skills. “He has to be improved, his hard skills need to be improved, so that later when he enters the community or the world of work, he has other alternatives,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

Furthermore, Dr. Mardiyana also explained that for vocational study programs, such as Mechanical Engineering Education, Building Engineering Education, Fine Arts Education, and others, they have been prepared after graduation so that they can teach according to their respective fields by experiencing and understanding the process in the field firsthand. So, it is not only theory but also has worked directly in the field in the form of cooperation.

At the end of the speech, Dr. Mardiyana thanked PT Griya Bambu Kuning, the MBKM Team and all related parties. And with this collaboration, it is hoped that there will be mutual benefit from both parties between FKIP UNS and PT Griya Bambu Kuning and can improve the competence of students.

Then, the event continued with remarks from the General Manager of PT Griya Bambu Kuning, Marwan Djafar Baradja. He explained the general description of the field of PT Griya Bambu Kuning that is in the field of Safira Housing development, Furniture CV. Safira Wood, working on the manufacture of concrete roof tiles, manufacture and management of essential oils, and the food sector.

Furthermore, Marwan also expressed his gratitude for the welcome and the implementation of this cooperation, and hoped that this cooperation could be beneficial and beneficial for both parties.

“We thank you for your welcome and later this collaboration can be realized. Hopefully with this collaboration it is hoped that it can be useful for PT Griya Bambu Kuning and FKIP UNS especially for FKIP UNS students,” said Marwan.

Furthermore, as the highlight of the event, namely the signing of the FKIP UNS cooperation agreement by Dr. Mardiyana M.Sc., with PT Griya Bambu Kuning by Marwan Baradja.
