FKIP – Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta received benchmarking from the Biology Education Study Program, the University of Mataram regarding the implementation of MBKM. The visit was received directly by the Dean, Deputy Dean, Head of the Biology Education Study Program, and other leadership ranks. The benchmarking activity took place in Meeting Room I FKIP UNS Building on Wednesday (16/3/2022).

Benchmarking of the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, the University of Mataram, followed by Prof. Dr. Gito Handiprayitno, M.Sc. as Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Didik Santoso, M.Sc., as the Head of the Biology Education Study Program at the University of Mataram, and Dr. Karnan, M.Sc., as the Head of the International Accreditation Team of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram.

In his speech, Dr. Mardiyana M.Si. as the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS welcomed the benchmarking guests from Biology Education FKIP Mataram University.

“Welcome to our FKIP. Welcome to UNS. This is the main campus of FKIP which we usually call the Kentingan campus, where FKIP UNS itself has several campuses outside Kentingan, namely in Kleco, Pabelan, Nukiran, and even in Kebumen, “said Dr. Mardiyana.

Next Dr. Mardiyana M.Sc., explained that FKIP UNS has the slogan FKIP BAGUS, where FKIP BAGUS stands for ACTIVE, Accelerated, Global, Superior and Courteous Culture which is instilled in all FKIP UNS academics to advance FKIP and provide the best service for students, lecturers, and others.

Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. also conveyed information that FKIP UNS has 47 Study Programs, consisting of 24 Bachelor Programs, 17 Masters Programs, 5 Doctoral Programs, and PPG Programs. In addition, FKIP UNS has 31 Professors, 84 Head Lecturers, 131 Lectors, 192 Lecturers with Doctoral degrees, b66 Expert Assistants, 69 Teaching Staff with a total of 381 Lecturers, 127 Education staff, and approximately 10,000 students and continued with the delivery of field information. and units in FKIP UNS.

At the end of the speech, Dr. Mardiyana hopes that the visit or Benchmarking will be a form of friendship that can bring fortune, especially healthy fortune, and given a long life so that it can be a blessing and useful for each other to advance together and improve performance.

In his opening speech, Dr. Didik Santoso, M.Sc., as the Head of the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram said that the purpose and objective of this visit or benchmarking was none other than MBKM. Where Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) is a program from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia that must be carried out and has a goal for students to hone skills according to their talents and interests by going directly into the world of work as preparation for future careers.

Besides that, this activity was motivated by collaboration, as well as curiosity about how the stages of managing the achievement of the FKIP UNS program were good and good. This benchmarking also aims to find out how to prepare for the international accreditation of Biology Education FKIP UNS which has implemented ASIIN International Accreditation.

Next Dr. Didik Santoso, M.Sc., from the University of Mataram expressed his gratitude for the welcome at FKIP UNS.

“We express our great gratitude to FKIP UNS and Biology Education for their extraordinary welcome to us, hopefully, this can be a useful activity,” said Dr. Educate Santoso.

The benchmarking event ended with the delivery of souvenirs and continued with the introduction of governance and Biology Education programs at FKIP UNS which was led directly by the Head of the Biology Education Study Program, Dr. Muzzazinah, M.Si.
