FKIP – Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta students who are members of the 18 Real Work Lecture (KKN) group hold KKN activities in Buntar Village, Mojogedang District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province. This activity was chaired by Firmansyah Adi Nugroho, a student of the Physics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNS and supervised by Firdastin Ruthnia Yudiningrum, S.Sos., M.Sc., a lecturer in Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. (FISIP) UNS.
KKN activities also collaborate with Buntar Village officials, Buntar Village community, Buntar Village midwives, State Elementary Schools (SDN) 01 and 02 Buntar, Kindergarten (TK) 01 and 02 Buntar, Qur’an Learning Park (TPA) At-Tawab Hamlet Mosque Buntar, Buntar Village Posyandu, Mojogedang II Health Center, and UNS Medical Education Study Program students as resource persons for the dissemination of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) activities.
This KKN activity was carried out on January 18 – February 28, 2022. The KKN activity in Buntar Village took the theme “Digitalization of SMEs, Healthy Lifestyles, and Education.” The program is divided into two, namely the main program and the supporting program. The main programs include socialization of dengue prevention with mosquito larvae, Digides, namely the Village Digitization Movement, socialization and practice of toothbrushing and hand washing at elementary school level as a form of hygiene awareness from an early age, and providing trash can facilities as an effort to improve clean and healthy living behavior.
Meanwhile, the supporting programs include efforts to increase the learning interest of elementary school students through tutoring consultations for tutoring, the introduction of the BukuKas application as an effort to digitize Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), a geographic information system for mapping MSMEs based on the web google maps, packaging innovations for MSME marning and village cassava chips. Buntar to increase the attractiveness of the product, the community service of Buntar Village as a form of environmental concern, preparing the younger generation to be literate in the Koran through the TPA, training on creativity and children’s cohesiveness through the “Ceria Buntar” activity and Organizing “Healthy Buntar” activities with healthy exercise to maintain health during the pandemic. Luthfi Rafifah, a member of KKN 18 Desa Buntar, said that this activity was intended to increase public awareness about dengue disease, improve website management skills, and help MSMEs in developing their businesses.
“The target of this KKN activity is to hopefully increase awareness and inform how to prevent DHF through outreach activities, maximize village website management skills through DIGIDES: Village Digitization Movement, instill hygiene awareness in elementary school students through socialization and the practice of washing hands and brushing teeth, increasing awareness of the importance of maintaining hygiene. environmental cleanliness through the provision of trash cans, familiarizing elementary students to study together through tutoring activities, introducing the BukuKas application as a means of supporting financial bookkeeping for business owners, helping to map MSMEs and village facilities on Google Maps, helping packaging innovations for MSME marning and cassava chips so that more attractive appearance and able to compete in the market, assisting in community activities, especially to maintain environmental cleanliness through community service, assisting religious education activities through TPA, increasing creativity and cohesiveness of kindergarten students in “Buntar Cheerful” activity, increasing public awareness to exercise through morning exercise activities,” explained Luthfi to the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Monday (28/02/2022).

“The impression of participating in KKN is that it is fun, happy, and gets a lot of experience through interaction with various community characters. The enthusiasm from the community during community service and gymnastics, as well as elementary and kindergarten students for the arrival of the KKN team added to the pleasant impression for me and my friends. In addition, I am grateful to be able to carry out KKN offline so that the experience I get is certainly different from my friends in the previous period of KKN,” he concluded.
