FKIP – The Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta student group conducted a Real Work Lecture (KKN) in Kudu Village, Baki, Sukoharjo with one of the work programs mapping Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

This student group consisted of Andin Maharani, Maria Alicia Cahya Asmara, Inggit Tiyas Fiani, Adinda Fauzia Armedina, Galang Restu Gusti Morajaela, Arya Bima Sena, Elvina Ardelia Laksmi, Arjun Arga Resindra, and Nila Kintaningtyas.

The implementation of this MSME mapping activity was motivated because the 107 KKN UNS group saw the potential of MSMEs in Kudu Village that had not been maximized. This was conveyed by Inggit as a member of group 107.

“Before KKN we conducted a survey through the villages. Well, there we saw a lot of MSMEs but not yet registered on Google Maps. In our opinion, this is very unfortunate because people don’t know that there are many MSMEs in Kudu Village,” said Inggit when interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Monday (28/2/2022).

This activity aims to make it easier for MSME actors to be reached by the wider community.

In this activity, KKN students succeeded in mapping the MSMEs in four hamlets, namely Demalang Hamlet, Bowan Hamlet, Sawahan Hamlet, and Ngablak Hamlet.

“The data we got shows that in Bowan Hamlet there are 38 MSMEs, Demalang Hamlet 28 MSMEs, Ngablak Hamlet and Sawahan 38 MSMEs,” said Inggit.

The existence of this location mapping received a positive response from the community and MSME actors.

“The response has been very positive and supportive. For SMEs, they feel helped by this activity,” said Inggit.

In practice, the 107 group dispersed into each hamlet and met with MSME actors. Then, they asked for the required data. Once collected, they input one by one. Not to forget, they also submitted the data to the Kudu Village Hall, Baki, Sukoharjo.

At the end, Inggit conveyed the hopes to be achieved with this MSME mapping activity.

“The hope is that it can become data for villages, can help SMEs, and this KKN activity will be useful,” concluded Inggit.
