FKIP – The Kebumen Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta also enlivened the 46th UNS Anniversary Celebration by holding several series of activities for two days from Saturday to Sunday (12-13/3/2022). Themed “Painting Memories, Creating, and Culture”, the series of activities were held in the PGSD Hall of FKIP UNS Campus VI Kebumen by implementing health protocols.

The series of activities for the 46th UNS Anniversary Celebration held by the PGSD Kebumen FKIP UNS Study Program on the first day were remarks, workshops, lecturer awards, and performances of regurgitant competitions. The series of activities on the second day was the performance of a storytelling competition, the selection of Mas Mbak PGSD Kebumen, a solo vocal competition, tumpengan, and the announcement of the winners.

Guided by Ghina Muthmainnah and Adam Rizky Fuadhi on the first day and Mumayizah and Annisa Luthfiyatur Rosyda on the second day as students of the PGSD Kebumen FKIP UNS Study Program, the celebration was opened by the Head of the PGSD Kebumen FKIP UNS Study Program, Dr. Suhartono, M.Pd., by beating the gong. On this occasion, he also gave a speech. He said that in addition to enlivening the 46th UNS Anniversary, this activity was also expected to motivate students to improve their achievements.

“A series of dies natalis activities that have been designed and implemented by this committee is an activity to enliven the 46th anniversary of UNS. Not only that, it is hoped that with this activity, students will be more motivated to improve their achievements and channel their interests and talents. Of course, this will help the study program accreditation process,” said Dr. Suhartono.

The activity was followed by a workshop. This activity is a means to convey aspirations, criticisms, and suggestions between students, lecturers, and education staff at the PGSD Kebumen Study Program, FKIP UNS. Then, aspirations, criticisms, and suggestions will be discussed to get a mutual agreement. After the workshop, the activity continued with the Lecturer Award session. This activity aims to reward the performance of PGSD Kebumen FKIP UNS Lecturers.

Furthermore, the activity continued with several competitions for PGSD Kebumen FKIP UNS students. Gayu Adi as Chair of the PGSD Kebumen FKIP UNS Student Association hopes that this activity can be a forum for PGSD Kebumen FKIP UNS students to get to know each other and be competent in positive ways.

“Hopefully this anniversary activity can run smoothly in the following years and can be a source of pride for our PGSD Kebumen students. Friends of the Kebumen PGSD students can still compete with each other, get to know each other, and together bring our beloved campus to life. I hope that with this anniversary event, the Kebumen PGSD campus can be better known,” hoped Gayuh.
