FKIP – Real Work Lecture Group (KKN) 08 Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta conducts basic computer training for PKK women. This training activity was carried out offline at the Ngabeyan Village Hall, Karanganom, Klaten on (17-18/2/2022).

The UNS 08 KKN group consisted of 10 students, namely Ivan Satritama, Izza Mafazatunnafa’ula, Hesty Kusumastuti, Inayatu Solikhah, Gita Kurniasih, Ganesha Wibisono Lubis, Ihza Ridwan Israwan, Fitri Fatmasari, Anisa Desianti Ramadhani, and Gabby Rosita Jolanda, and Lecturers. Field Supervisor Dr. Ir. Jaka Suyana, M.Si.

The work program, which was carried out for two days every 16.00-17.30 WIB, involved PKK women in Ngabeyan Village, Karanganom, Klaten. According to Anisa Desianti Ramadhani, one of the members of the UNS 08 KKN group, on the first day of the computer basics training, she was given the material on Microsoft Word, starting from the introduction of its features to the practice of writing letters.

“The activity started with an explanation about how to open Microsoft Word, then each woman was distributed leaflets about the features in Microsoft Word while explaining about these features. After that, PKK women practiced making an invitation letter accompanied by every student,” he said.

Meanwhile, on the second day of basic computer training, the material on Microsoft Excel was given, such as simple formulas for SUM, MIN, MAX, and AVERAGE.

“On the second day, mothers were taught about simple formulas in Microsoft Excel such as SUM, MIN, MAX, and AVERAGE, besides that, mothers were also taught how to make graphs. After that, mothers were asked to directly enter data in Microsoft Excel and process the data with the formulas that have been explained and make graphs from the data,” he explained.

According to Anisa, this work program was carried out to increase awareness and knowledge of PKK women in Ngabeyan village about computers and their application in daily life. In addition, this activity aims to make PKK women able to use computers, especially in terms of typing and using Microsoft Word and Excel programs.

Through Anisa, the UNS 08 KKN group hopes that the implementation of this work program can make it easier for PKK mothers to make reports digitally.

“With the training, it is hoped that PKK women can apply computers in daily life, especially in making PKK reports in Ngabeyan village. In addition, it is hoped that the understanding of PKK women in Ngabeyan village in making digital documents will increase,” said Anisa at fkip.uns.ac.id team Friday (4/3/2022)
